“A nice break from the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

Being from Colorado the Bricks Works is no wilderness but it is a nice break from the city as busy as Toronto. A nice place to take a stroll or ride a bike on the trial on a Sunday afternoon with the kids or look for fish or frog in the ponds. Enjoy a little bit of the prehistoric Toronto scenery. On the other hand, if you are visiting Toronto for the first or second time, you can probably skip this place.

“Great potential”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Great transformation of an old factory into an environmental/educational hub with many activities (farmers' market, hiking trails, playground, cafe etc.) to draw people in all seasons.
Sadly my first visit was for a beer and food tasting event called the Brewer's Backyard: Queen Victoria's Secret. The event advertisement promised "all kinds of beer and food surprises". There were 5 beer vendors, which was fine, but only 1 food vendor! The 1 food vendor had (from what I could tell) only a limited menu of about 2 or so items. Not to discredit this food vendor, who clearly had good food and was busy all afternoon, it would have been nice to have other options. I felt that the advertisement of the event was very misleading compared to what was offered. When we spoke with the organizer, his response was, "Oh well, you can't please everyone".
Well that may be true you can certainly make an attempt to advertise your event honestly and accurately.

“Great venue for team events!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

Went with my company for a fun night out. Had set up all sorts of food trucks under the hangar. Great food and lots of fun. I have being in this place before on a personal visit and loved it as well. Activities, shopping, food, outdoor living, all is there.

“Early for Crepes on Saturday at Brick Works”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Be sure to get down to the Brick Works early on a Saturday market to take in Clement's crepes. He's usually stationed just oustide the entrance to Belong Restaurant across from the gift shop. His crepes are just something to behold, and whole wheat at that. The breakfast crepe is a favourite. Enjoy.
