“TERRIBLE!! We were so disappointed!!!”

We booked the Old Mill for Valentines Day as a romantic get away for Valentines Day. They told us we were getting a LUXURY KING SUITE.....when we arrived at 8pm (we have 3 children and live 5 mins away from Old Mill, so had to deal with the kids) we received the keys to our room and WOW - it was the size of a shoebox, I am not sure how they squished the King bed into the room!! My husband and I went to the front desk to ask if perhaps they had a larger room in the same "luxury suite" category and we were told NO that is the same size as all rooms - don't be fooled by their pictures of larger rooms. We spoke to the manager, who looked down her nose at us as she asked "what did you think you were getting?" I would not book a room at this hotel - it is NOT worth it!! Thankfully they returned our money, but our Valentines certainly was not what we expected!!!

Room Tip: rooms are not worth booking!! BOOK AT A DIFFERENT HOTEL!! DO not book a room!

Thank you for taking the time to write in your review. I am sorry to hear that your most recent visit was not to your satisfaction. The reservation you made was our Valentine’s Special for a Luxury King Room. I understand that you were expecting a suite as the last time you stayed with us, however, we did not have any suites available that weekend as we were sold out. Our Luxury King Rooms are quite spacious at over 350 square feet which is considerably larger than most standard rooms in a hotel of this class.
Perhaps next time you choose to stay with us booking a suite will be more suitable for your needs.

“An oasis in a hectic business trip”

My one night stay in the Old Mill was a lovely experience. I wish I could have stayed longer. Dinner in the beautiful dining room was delicious - the Winterlicious menu was innovative and definitely appreciated! My room was warm and inviting: the fireplace was on, music playing and bed turned down. After a long day, it was a pleasure to relax in such a comfortable and romantic space.

“Gorgeous!”

This hotel was just gorgeous! I love the old feel it gives off without actually looking OLD and run down! I was there for a conference for two days. I got to enjoy the room for a night as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. I wouldn’t know where to start on the food, simply put it was amazing. So many options for the lunch buffet I don’t think I ate the same thing twice!
I definitely recommend staying at the Old Mill Inn if you’re in need of a well-run hotel and comfortable stay!

“Romantic getaway without going away”

We decided to spend the night at the Old Mill after booking the Robbie Burns supper celebration. What a great decision. This is a beautiful and romantic hotel. We stayed in a king sitting room, which was immaculate, spacious and inviting. The room had a beautiful view overlooking the humber river. I can only imagine it would be even more spectacular in the summer or fall when the trees are in full leaf. The in-room gas fireplace and two person jacuzzi were perfect for a winter's night. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. Even though our room was across from the elevators, it was incredibly quiet. Absolutely no complaints about this hotel. Perfect for a romantic getaway in the city, and we'll definitely be back.

“Romantic Getaway”

Our one night stay at the Inn was a gift from our children. We loved the high ceilings and were excited to find a separate sitting room with fireplace and TV and a large bathroom with double sinks. We normally don't sleep well our first night away but the king-size bed was extremely comfortable and we both slept like babies! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We went out to eat so didn't try the dining room. Otherwise we'd highly recommend to anyonewho just wants to get away for a night or two.
