Spontaneously stopped by this restaurant for a Sunday night dinner. I had never heard of Against The Grain had no expectations. The place has an interesting modern atmosphere with a wood theme. We were seated quickly and the waitress took immediate care of us. After that, the service deteriorated. Still friendly but she walked by my empty drink a few times before I had to ask for a refill.
The menu was disappointing. It is a single page and the entire back side is dedicated to alcohol. Half the food is burgers and flat breads (pizza-ish things). That leaves a few salads, appetizers, two steaks and some fish. The menu is so boring I ordered the Portobello & Flax veggie burger as the only remotely interesting thing.
It was a fine meal but, I won't be back to try anything else.
