Excellent service, beautiful room, and convenient location. The included breakfast was very nice as well. Very close to Union Station, Eaton Centre, ACC, etc. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a very good hotel with excellent beds and above all very helpful staff. The location is as central as you can get in this huge city. There are things that could be better given the high cost of a stay. The breakfast is what you would expect in a hotel of far lower standard, very poor choice, self service coffee machines, and the seating and decor is spartan. There is a lack of public seating areas within the hotel. Finally whilst the bathrooms look absolutely beautiful the water pressure in the showers are extremely poor, personally I would rather have less beauty, more hot water! Still, despite these few shortcomings you will have a very comfortable stay and be efficiently looked after by courteous staff.

Wow, what a great hotel! The location is fantastic, but it's the service and touches that make this place outstanding. The room is an appealing design of slate, and glass and luxury moments, from the glassed in shower to the Nespresso machine and amazing view of the CN Tower. We splurged on a one night stay to celebrate my partner's 50th and a candle-topped mini cake with personal note was in the room on arrival. This upscale hotel charges upscale rates, but the service was warm and unpretentious. We rate this as one of our favourite hotels ever, and certainly the best in Toronto. Worth the price everyone :)

We had narrowed down our search based on the reviews, and the fact that for 3 adults, 2 parents and a 20 year old, most places offer a king and a roll-away or 2 doubles. We wanted 2 queens! We had booked the room, and then a fabulous groupon came up for an upgrade to what we had. The hotel contacted us after receiving our information with the groupon. I was impressed with that touch.

The staff was great, they had a little birthday surprise for my son and the front desk was great for information. We had a great stay. We also didn't know the Toronto Raptors played right next door! Maybe next trip....

Visited Toronto on business where on one night I took a client out to a Raptors game. I found a great rate at this hotel and decided to stay here.
The Le Germain feels like a more grown-up version of a W (which Toronto sorely lacks). Imagine the W look and feel without they hallway music and you have and idea what this hotel is like. It is also one of the newer properties in the city, where many hotels date back to the 70s and before.
The rooms are very roomy and well appointed. There is a Nespresso machine (only 3 shots per night, apparently) and a beautiful bathroom with high quality products. The 8th floor room I stayed in was very quiet and barely let any game noise seep in from the street.
The free breakfast was very European. Hard boiled eggs (cold), cold cuts, cheeses, cereal, and baked goods. I would not say fantastic but serviceable.
The hotel's location, outside of proximity to the Air Canada Centre is decent but that's about it. You are not *in* downtown Toronto, more like the edge of downtown. You WILL need a cab to get to most places. There are not many restaurants or points of interest right nearby other than the Air Canada Centre, the Rogers baseball field and the CN Tower.
The hotel's bar/restaurant was terrific. Not cheap but the food and cocktails were very well made. During game nights, space is tight though, so arrive early.
The gym is small but sufficient.
I would not recommend the hotel for families as there was pretty much no attention paid for young travelers (the nearby Westin Harbour Castle is a great choice for families).
Service was a bit spotty. The breakfast dining room team always appeared rushed and confused. I asked for a newspaper in the morning and got it on one morning out of three. The reception staff could be a bit friendlier.
I was also able to work in the room without an issue. WiFi was free and fast.

Overall though, this is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Toronto.

Room Tip: High floor away from the elevators.

Beautiful modern hotel, my favourite in Toronto. Spacious, love the shower. Had a suite for two nights, huge with two bathrooms, separate bedroom, sitting area, soaker tub. Very comfortable bed. Great location, can get everywhere fron Union Square Station.

Visited Toronto for my birthday and some hockey games. Loved the location of this hotel to the Air Canada Centre as well as other restaurants, bars, and shops. It is clean, modern, and quiet. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the espresso machine was great. On the night of my birthday they left me a delicious chocolate mousse dessert. The whole time we felt like we were the only people at the hotel, it was a such a wonderful vacation! Just make sure you ask about how the lights in the room work or you may never figure it out.

Room Tip: We enjoyed a corner room with a round bed. Great view and comfortable bed!
