“A hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

Le Germain Maple Leaf Square is a hidden gem. A nondescript and almost hidden entrance gives no sense of what lies behind the doors. A boutique hotel in a great location it offers everything you'd want for a comfortable stay - modern and very well equipped rooms, extraordinarily comfortable beds and even a free breakfast. Service is also impeccable and the food very good (I mostly ate in private functions). One potential downside - noise from boisterous crowds outside the Air Canada Centre could definitely disturb your sleep. If you need to get to bed early you may want to check out of there's a hockey game or concert on the same evening.

Room Tip: alog the west side of the hotel will help minimize the sound from crowds outside the ACC.

Location is superb, very close to all amenities, our room was great and the breakfast bar was simply fantastic with loads of choices.
The best thing there were the staff, they were just very friendly, this made the whole stay quite enjoyable :)

The hotel is excellent. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the mattress was amazing. I had a great sleep. The first few floors are for the hotel, and the top floors are apartments (condo?). It is right across from the Air Canada Centre and Union Station. The hotel includes a free continental breakfast but it was the best continental breakfast I've ever had. It included toast, bagels, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, cheese and cold meats in their continental breakfast. It was like a brunch so we could skip lunch that day. Great place and I will gladly return. It might be noisy when the Air Canada Centre patrons leave, but it didn't bother us and the hotel provides ear plugs right on the night stand if you need them. I didn't need them which is surprising, since I'm a light sleeper.

We stayed here in August, Family of 5, in a lovely big suite, 4 rooms, in a great location, only 1 downfall, We thought It was extreamly noisy, Spacious room, proper air conditioning and a luxurious bathroom are just a selection of the positives. But we must say its location is superb. Literally minutes walking from major venues such as Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre, but also the CN Tower and waterfront. Friendly, helpful staff. One pointer though: the breakfast buffet is classical French/Canadian rather than International. As such, it lacks scrambled eggs, bacon and the like. If you are staying for more than 3-4 days this buffet tends to get boring.

I have stayed in over 40 hotels in North America this year - LeGermain Maple Leaf Square tops them all.

The staff couldn't be more welcoming or helpful. The room was very comfortable and well designed. Things like the rain shower, the ambient lighting, the decor - all first class. Free breakfast and wi-fi also demonstrate the client centric nature of this property.

I am returning next week for a five night visit and very much looking forward to the chance to stay here again.

Booked this fabulous hotel for 2 nights and stayed 4. Very modern (bordering on industrial) style hotel - extremely comfortable with fabulously, well designed, large bathroom and large TV. King bed was extremely comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. Hotel is conveniently located opposite Union train station and in the same complex as the hockey stadium. Everything you crave for in a city hotel. Staff were fantastic - special thanks to Gregory (concierge) for sorting out our ice hockey tickets and some great suggestions on places to see. Also thanks to 'Agent Smith' (you know who you are) for sorting our extended dates with a great rate. Best hotel ever!!

The rooms are wonderfully spacious and designed for both function and beauty. A lovely dressing area/ bathroom and shower stall with rain forest shower head. Lighting is outstanding and easily accessible and "green". Many interesting digital features in the room. Great blackout blinds. Super bed and bedding. Loads and loads of room for your devices, and personal articles with a wall-to-wall, under the window, desk/ shelf. Just found the towels could be a little more absorbent. Bar/ resto on main floor had great food and wine; the breakfast is the best: totally European!

Room Tip: Lots of people noise on the street; but it seems to magically disappear at 11:00 pm!
