“A perfect weekend in Toronto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

We wanted a getaway for our 15th anniversary and decided on this hotel based upon the reviews on Trip Advisor. I e-mailed the concierge before we came to get some restaurant recommendations and casually mentioned that it was our anniversary. When we arrived at the hotel, there was a hand-written note wishing us a Happy Anniversary and a tray of delectable desserts. The customer service at this hotel is truly extraordinary. Gregory, the concierge, treated us like celebrities and was so friendly and thoughtful.
The hotel is trendy without being the least bit intimidating. The bed is as comfortable as any I have ever slept in. Breakfast is served until 11:30 (12 on the weekends) so you can sleep as late as you like and still wander in knowing you will be fed.
It's true that this area of the city is in the midst of a major construction boom and you are right smack in the middle of things when you stay here. But the hotel still feels like an oasis and the location allowed us to walk to almost everything, including our favorites: the art museum (AGO), the St. Lawrence Market, and the Distillery District.
Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a wonderful weekend!

We are staying the night in this beautiful property. In as much as we are extremely happy with the hotel and amenities, we are more happy with the customer service. The staff is like no other that we have experienced in Toronto. We were welcomed back by the consierge Gregory and when we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised to find a note and a beautiful plate with fruit and a mouse cake and two cookies for the kids. I have a worshop coming up in September in Toronto and I am wishing I could stay here for that instead of the host hotel. The only thing we haven't enjoyed so far is the extreme traffic in front of the hotel due to a closed road and merging streets. We hopped into a cab at the front door and it took about 10 minutes to get to the lights which I swear is 50m from the front door.

The location though despite the traffic cannot be beat! The CN tour is across the street and so is the new Ripley's aquarium which will open soon. Look no further! Book here and you will not be disappointed!! Thank you to the staff of Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square. We will be back for sure.

Stayed here again with family for 3 nights after my first visit almost a year ago. I'm happy to say the standard hasn't dropped and it's still a great place to stay when in Toronto. It's conveniently located near Union Station, Air Canada Centre and Rogers Centre.

The rooms are large and bathrooms are spacious. I really enjoy the continental breakfast at the hotel with good coffee and selection of food. Staff are all friendly and helpful. There is a huge grocery store under the hotel and Real Sports bar is also next door which is really convenient.

I think the only thing I'd like them to change is the shower - the water is a bit too weak.

I love the modern & cool design of this hotel, it was all very zen and relaxing. The location was another win, being right downtown and close to Union Station subway. The Longo's supermarket with a salad bar and take-out food is in the same building of the hotel and was perfect for grabbing a snack or a healthy meal.

Bed was extremely comfortable with soft frette linens, Molten Brown toiletries in the bathroom were a nice touch. A continental breakfast was included in my package, which is served until 11 AM everyday - which is great for those of us traveling from the west coast and on a later schedule. Definitely go for the warm fresh-baked croissants, hard boiled eggs, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, fruit and oatmeal. It was a decent spread with a 24 hour coffee & tea lounge on the 2nd floor with lots of light. If I had more time, I would definitely work from this room.

The only thing you should be aware of is the noise. If you're a light sleeper, the hotel does provide ear plugs. Its central location means, it's near a busy intersection and below is Maple Leaf Square & ACC which hosts various concerts and sports events throughout the year. It didn't bother me, but it's good to note this if noise is a factor.

Otherwise, a lovely visit - my first to a Germain property! I would recommend and stay there again.

From the moment we walked through the door of this fantastic hotel we were indulged with excellent service and wonderful amenity. Reception staff, the concierge (Gregory) and breakfast staff (especially Roy) made us feel special and extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were interested in talking to us and they always had a smile on their faces. The room was spacious and well lit, the bathroom cleverly designed and the bed so comfortable it was better than home. The hotel is located is located next door to Union Station so if you are travelling by train there is no need for a taxi. Our stay in Toronto was made all the more enjoyable by our experience at Le Germain Maple Leaf Square.

Room Tip: Our room faced a construction site (they are everywhere in Toronto) but there was very little noise...

Surprised my girlfriend with a stay at Hotel Le Germain MLS this past weekend and can wholeheartedly say it's our new favourite spot. I booked the round bed room, and it was lovely. Walked in and the concierge team had a wee piece of cake there and a note for my lady wishing her a happy birthday. Needless to say she was chuffed. All the staff we encountered were fantastic. They run this place right. Next time I'm in Toronto (and have it in the budget :p) it'd be difficult not to choose this hotel again.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was stunning and the layout was great. The bed was so comfortable, easily the best I have ever had in a hotel. The room was very quiet despite the nearby expressway. The location is fantastic. Union Station is across the road and there is a supermarket nearby. If I visit Toronto again I will be staying here.
