“Exceptional Service and Accommodations in Downtown Toronto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

My husband and I, along with our families, stayed at Le Germain Maple Leaf Square during our
wedding weekend in May. We also hosted a farewell brunch at the hotel for
our wedding guests. From the check-in process to the amazing food,
everything was executed with perfection. The staff was extremely friendly
and helpful, and everyone was aware of our event, taking the time to
congratulate us and offer any assistance possible all weekend.

The front desk staff was exceptional. They were not only the most
professional and inviting hotel staff I've experienced, but they went above
and beyond to help us and our guests. When we took some professional photos
at the hotel, a staff member customized the lighting in the lobby to better
coordinate with our colors.

During our Sunday brunch, the toaster stopped working. Immediately, the
staff began toasting bread in the kitchen and individually serving guests. I
was so impressed with their quick action and amazing customer service!

The rooms were breathtaking. The beds were extremely comfortable and the
bathroom amenities were luxurious. My husband and I each received treats and
welcome notes from the wonderful Meeting and Events Sales Manager we worked
with, which was such a lovely and personal touch.

It was truly a perfect and effortless weekend thanks to the wonderful hotel,
especially the staff. We can't wait for our next stay at Le Germain Maple
Leaf Square!

Due to the many positive reviews on TripAdvisor I made a reservation at Hôtel Le Germain and boy was that a great decision. The service was beyond amazing, the rooms were modern, impeccably clean and comfortable. Le Germain is in a great location and the staff was not shy about offering great suggestions on things to do. From the moment we pulled up this was a 5-star experience and I can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Always check the reviews before booking and if you can, call the hotel and ask questions. Good custo...

My wife and I, along with our 2 year old daughter would like to thank the staff at Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square for an amazing stay last night.

From the time I made the reservations until we checked out, we were treated like valued customers and like gold. I was very impressed with the politeness and thoughtfulness of the front desk staff as we were immediately upgraded for no reason, which made our stay that much better.

There were several very thoughtful things in our room already set up for our daughter. A baby monitor, a robe, a toddler bath tub, a diaper geenie, and a very cute lamb blanket just for her. It made her very happy, which makes my wife and I very happy.

You can tell that they pay attention to every single detail to make your stay comfortable, enjoyable and worry free.

Our room was very spacious, very clean and the amnesties are simply the best. It was quiet, and very chic, and the hotel had many little touches that make it what it is, the best hotel in Toronto.

We were extremely impressed and will surely stay there again. The attention to detail and the thoughtfulness that was put into our stay was unbelievable on the part of the staff and we thank them for that.

Dear jonandangie,

I have passed your comments about the lamb blanket onto our housekeeping team. The 3-for-1 happiness factor made their day.

We feel that everyone deserves to shine, so we’re glad you felt like gold. After all, it’s all in the details!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I would like to recognize Le Germaine for their fine hotel and excellent service. From valet staff to management, my experience was 5 star. In particular, our company just completed a 2 day workshop that included a medical emergency and all staff went above and beyond to assist us. There are plenty of hotels to choose from in this city, and, for me, service is what separates the good from the great.

In particular, I would like to recognize Nadine, Lana, and Julian for their excellent service and attitude. It made a lasting impression upon attendees and made for a successful event.

I have had the opportunity to stay at this hotel many times and they consistantly provide top notch service. The rooms are impeccable. It is in a great location for those that want to see the city. I travel a great deal and stay in many hotels. One of the things that always strikes me about this hotel is that nothing ever seems to be too much trouble.

This was our first time at Le Germain attending the Taylor Swift concert with our two daughters aged 10 and 12. Right from the first moment pulling up to valet parking, the attendant was offering to take some used coffee cups and empty water bottles to the garbage for us.

Our room wasn't quite ready for us....but we arrived at noon and check in is at 3, so we didn't expect to get in at that time. We just wanted to park and go and grab some lunch. The concierge was very friendly, directing us to the private guest lounge on the second floor so we could freshen up in the washrooms and grab a complimentary hot beverage. That was nice and made a great first impression.

Check in was quick and the room was gorgeous. Very modern as stated in previous reviews. Wi-fi signal was strong and didn't need a password to sync all our devices. Very clean...spotless....in fact I couldn't find a flaw if I tried. No foul smells and the cooling system work very well and wasn't loud at all, like most hotel rooms. Room was very quiet at night even being in a busy part of the city.

My favorite was likely the beds, pillow and linens....truly a 5 star quality. They even sent up some fun pillows and children sized robes for our girls without us asking...that was a nice touch. We all had an amazing sleep.

Breakfast was a quality step up from the regular continental breakfast you would expect. Very nice.

The price of Le Germain might be a few more dollars ($30-$60) than a room at another hotel close by, but it is definately worth every penny. This will be the only place we stay in Toronto from now on.

Room Tip: Use the self parking...only $18/day compared to $40 plus tax if you use vallet. It is in the same p...

Dear Pete D,

It sounds like you and your family had a great concert experience. If the girls catch wind of any other shows they’d like to attend, we’d be delighted to recreate the experience.

Of course, we put as much effort into romantic escapes as well…

We booked the Hotel le Germain on the basis of the Tripadvisor reviews and had three nights there, followed by a further night at the end of our touring holiday of Southern Ontario and Quebec before flying back to the UK. Of all the hotels we stayed in in Ontario and Quebec on this holiday, and there were a number, this was by far the best of them all. When we came back to Le Germaine for our one night before heading back to the UK, we were welcomed back and greeted by all the staff as if we were old friends - family even - and they certainly made us feel at home.

We had a sixth floor room 618 which overlooked a rear courtyard and it was so quiet from both outside, and from the inside corridor, it was hard to believe we were in downtown Toronto. The room had everything the business or holiday customer could want - even down to free wifi. And the coffee and tea are free all day in the second floor sitting area. The general decor and ambience of the whole hotel hit just the right note.

Susan - and all the staff on the front desk - were extremely helpful and when asked, arranged a reservation for us for an evening meal at the CN Tower restaurant. Next morning they all inquired if we had enjoyed the meal - which we had. And all the staff had a great knack of remembering our names which made it even more personable.

The hotel location is great for the CN Tower and the main shopping centre. Union Train Station is a few steps away, as well as the Toronto Islands ferry.

If you stay there we are sure that Susan, the concierge, will point you in the right direction of a great supermarket on the lower floor of the Maple Leaf Centre, and direct you to all the tourist places that you must visit in "Trawno".

It is a pity Tripadvisor only has five star ratings as this hotel and its team deserves six!

We would heartliy recommend this hotel.

Dear almalmac,

Though we would be happy to see six stars too, we’re thankful that you took the time to give us five. We appreciate the positive review.

Trawno! It sounds like you fully embraced our local culture during your time here. We look forward to welcoming you back for your next trip, during which Susan will be sure to share a few
more gems.

Happy Travelling.
