“Love it love it love it!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2011

I stayed here with my wife and two daughters, aged 9 and 12, at the end of July for two nights. We booked here mainly for the location and were a little bit concerned at first if this hotel, being so modern, would be family friendly. We needn't have worried in the slightest as it turned out to be THE most family friendly hotel we have ever stayed in and then some!
The staff were just brilliant, helping us out the second we got there, with parking, with our bags, with making the most of the stay, with directions - everything. They even sorted our daughters out with bathrobes!! Gregory, the concierge, was something else - if he worked in McDonalds he would be COVERED in gold stars! He would stop for a chat, he was a laugh, very knowledgeable - every hotel needs a Gregory!
The rooms were just splendid, spacious, so very comfortable, modern, couldn't fault them.
The location was spot on for us as we wanted to visit the CN Tower and had tickets for a baseball game at the Rogers Centre, both a few minutes walk away. The Waterfront was only a few minutes walk too, this made for some lovely family walks in the morning and there were some great places to eat. For us, everything just seemed to be on our doorstep. When we drove to Niagara Falls, the main road was easily accessible, no problems.
All in all, I can't tell you how pleased we were that we decided to stay here, we had a fantastic time and this (very family friendly!) hotel and its staff were a big part of that.

Just to let the detractors know, we have stayed at Mercer St more than 60 times over the last few years, always in the suites with the odd complimentary upgrade to the apt. Still love it but it is getting a little tired and worn especially in the suites......maybe rock stars and celebs who knows?
So we wandered by the ACC and requested to view some rooms. Needless to say from that moment on we now stay in the 08 series of rooms (suites) which by the way are less expensive than the suites on Mercer. Last visit was a spontaneous affair which required the concierge to obtain lens fluid not found in the Longo's pharmacy on site. 20 minutes later it arrived with minimal surcharge.

As we have a subscription with Mirvish theatre, we find the distance to any theatre is 6 of 1 half dozen of the other ,that is, just as convenient. Plus Union station is across the way and Fran's
the delectable diner style restaurant is also across the street.

Don't get me wrong I still love the Mercer St locale and understand that some much needed renos are on the way. The bottom line is that the Le Germain franchise is still the best!!!!!!

Room Tip: any rooms ending in 08 (suites) you can take a bath and watch the jumbotron at ACC or sit on the ter...

i travel extensively for business and leisure and this hotel was one of the best hotel experiences i've ever had. i LOVE LOVE LOVE the decor - canadian HOT athletes as art, industrial/chic design throughout. loved everything about the room too - hip jazz playing when i arrived to my room, bose speakers for my ipod, a real blackout curtain, and all the lights are on dimmer switches. SUSAN McNAUGHT the concierge is the BEST. ask her for some suggestions around town and you'll see what i mean. as far as the rest of the hotel - service was pretty top notch. i left my workout headphones at home and only had large Bose headphones, so someone went and got me some and hand delivered them while i was on the treadmill! they were just really accommodating throughout, something you rarely see done well at the big fancy chains.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff is phenomenal!! I have stayed here 3 times and love the everything about it. The decor is very modern and the rooms are gorgeous. I find a reason to come to Toronto just to stay here!

Room Tip: If you like a round bed, request room 732 or 832.

The Hotel Le Germain Maple Leaf Square is top knotch! It is very modern and they staff is phenomenal! They are very polite and want to make sure you enjoy your experience. The rooms was great and the design was beautiful. We went to a maple leafs game while staying here and it was great that the venue was just steps away. It was also great that there was a grocery store attached and a bar and restaurant!

They are modern a bit funky, but in very good taste with the best appointments. This is the second time I have stayed with the organization and they are always good. Suite modern and interesting , but using the best of furnishings, Breakfast easy , nourishing and healthy. Staff very attentive. Good restaurant attached to it

Room Tip: They are all good

The facility is 1st rate, the accommodations 1st class, but the service is over the top. I had high expectations that were exceeded daily by the staff.

Room Tip: The suites with outside decks are expensive but worth the cost..
