“Bring some food, a blanket, bottled water, sunscreen and BYOB. Stay for beautiful sunset.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

Make sure you plan on staying for an amazing unforgettable sunset. Bring everything you need as there is only a small snack bar that operates on limited hours. Lake Ontario warms up through the summer so you do see people swimming. Bear in mind that the temperature on the beach is always a little bit cooler than in the city. And sometimes it can be raining in the city but sunshine on Hanlon's Point. Bring food, bottled water, beer cooler or wine, Frisbee, beach blanket, sunglasses and baby wipes. (Might want to bring extra beer or cigarettes as they seem to be in short supply). There are outdoor showers and a relatively clean washroom facility close to the beach. Hanlon's Point is about a 15 minute walk from the Island Dock. There is a ferry schedule on line if you wish to check the hours of service. During peak season you may wish to skip the ferry and take a water taxi (located by Sobeys). Pay for the taxi to the Island and take the ferry back after your day at the beach. It's a friendly crowd. Easy to avoid the pervy creeps. And truly clothing optional. Some go au natural, some women go topless and some stay clothed. The Long Weekends can get quite crowded. The weekdays are the best time to just chill and relax.

“Go even your tan without any lines”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

This is Torontos best clothing optional beach. Long stretch of sand with no inhibitions and no nonsense. There are places to rent chairs and umbrella's in the peak of summer. Bring a cooler, plenty of drinks and some food and some music and enjoy the sand and sun. When you get overheated a shot dip in the cold water will lift you right up!

“a nice place for sunbathing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

a nice beach in Toronto...clean enough to swim, although I didn't put my head underwater! lots of naked people. especially the men are naked! most women are in bathing suits, or maybe topless. an enjoyable place on a very hot day! and the Toronto Islands in general are a fantastic place to walk/bike/explore

“Nice island.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Nice island that can be visited with the ferries. It is quieter than Centre Island but has many nice features. Great views too. Nice place for a family to visit.

“Nude beach but nothing else”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

There are lots of nice places to walk around on the Toronto Islands, and even a so-so amusement park on Centre Island. But Hanlan's Point is notable mostly for being out of the way, which is how it became Toronto's main nude beach. So, if you want a nude beach, here is the place. If not, there is not much reason to be here.
