“Customer service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2012

The Travelodge Toronto Airport, is a handy location for the air traveller, however, we decided to stay there after dropping off relatives at the airport. The reason for the review is not so much about the hotel as it is about the customer service at the front desk. We had a small issue with parking charges and Raj at the front desk looked after us. We had stayed there before on an air travel package, but this time we were only staying over night, Raj looked after us very well. The room #313 was a good size room and offered a King and Queen sized bed,, some of the furniture looks like it should be replaced, but the room was clean and had everything we needed, thank you Raj for your service. David and Kerry Jones.

Stayed here for the second time while in toronto and had again the best service any hotel could possibly offer. Front desk staff were so very courteous and offered a special rate as we were in the city for a conference with a local church group. Our room was a King Suite which offered complimentary concierge lounge services (great for early morning breakfast-good selection) and nice evening tea and coffee's. The room was offered at an excellent price and was very modernly furnished. The cleanliness was excellent through out our room and the entire premises. We stayed on the 6th floor and our room was very quiet, no noise was heard at any time through out our stay. There is a Casey's Restaurant on the main floor as well as a very pleasant pool area. I can't say enough about the value for your dollar here, it is truly stretched to the max and the red carpet is rolled out for you each and every time we stayed here. I cant wait to return. THANK YOU TORONTO AIRPORT TRAVELODGE providing such outrageous service and decor to the tired travellers...we love you and will continue to highly recommend your establishment to our friends and family whenever they are heading to Toronto. Put your money here....its sooo worth it!
Pat Doucet.

Room Tip: Stay in the high floor suites and have use of the concierge lounge for rest, relaxation, coffee-tea...

We often stay at Travelodges around the country. They are usually good value for the money. The Travelodge on Dixon road by the Toronto airport was no exception.
A couple things.
We waited a long time for the shuttle. I was offer Doubletree by my travel agent and at one point whish I would have taken it because we waited an hour for the shuttle as it was just pulling away as I was chasing it upon spotting it on the lower level at the airport.
After a long plane ride the last thing you want to do is sit at the airport hungry and tired and wait an extra hour.
The room was clean but nothing special. We were happy to be on the airport side on the way back to see the planes coming and going.
The room and Park and fly was a great deal at around 200 for 2 nights stay, leaving my car in the parking lot for a week while we went to Punta Cana and the complimentary airport shuttle to and from.
The surrounding restraunts and businessess are very expensive.
Even Subway across the street costs more.
However we had lunch at the in house Caseys for under 60$. This included drinks. My frien had a delicious pulled pork bourbon sandwhich with tastey fries and gravy and I had a stirfry. Both meals exceeded our expectations. So 60 bucks wasn't a problem. The wait staff at the restraunt was very nice as well.
I wish I could say the same for the travelodge. I could not get ahold of the front desk, the pool was not open during our stay and no one offered to help with our bags (except when on the shuttle, the guy was really helpful with bags).
Had a big screen and quaint brick walls. The pillows and the bed were one step up from the resort we stayed in in the Dominican (but thats not saying much).
The movies were ridiculously priced at 15.99 LOL! Needless to say we did not order one.
Checkout was a breeze as you use your room key to get out of the parking lot and then deposit the keys in the drop off box right there. Easy Peasy!
I would stay again however I think that the shuttle service could keep better tabs on when guests are arriving as not to leave people to wait.
Giving 4 stars not because this is a 4 star hotel but because of the pricing, general cleanliness and the fact that our needs were met but expectations were not exceeded.
Excellent for the budget traveller.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 1st, 10th or 14th floor facing the airport. These floors have the ice machi...

I've been coming to the Travelodge Dixon Toronto Airport for 4 years now for work. I've spent anywhere from 4 weeks straight to just 4-5 long weekends. The internet, is quick, the staff is friendly and always willing to help. The business level floors are fantastic with the mini fridge and now updated TV's. Always clean and always just what you need when you need a stay near the Toronto Airport. The free breakfast on 17th floor and the drinks all day long are a nice bonus. I have never had a problem and after 4 years, quite enjoy my standard stay at the Travelodge. Casey's downstairs is always friendly and always wonderful. Overall a good stay for a business weekend near Toronto Pearson.

Room Tip: Ask for the business floors 8th or higher.

I booked this hotel for my partner so she could get some rest before a long cross-country flight. She called the hotel before even leaving for the airport to find out where to go and what to look for. She was told quite clearly to look for a white van with "Travelodge" marked on the side, and where to meet the shuttle. She went there immediately after arriving at the airport and called again to say she was there and was told a shuttle would be there "within 15 minutes". After waiting over half an hour, she phoned again and was told it would be there "within 15 minutes". This went on for over 2 hours, during which time she observed all the other hotel's shuttles arriving and departing at frequent intervals. Finally after several phone calls she was told the shuttle driver had been by at least three times since she first called - this was not true. Finally, intending to give up, she caught a ride on a Holiday Inn shuttle intending to stay with them instead, but that driver actually offered to drop her off at the Travelodge. When she got to the front desk and told them how rich it was to be delivered by your competitor, she was then told that the Holiday Inn shuttle was in fact the shuttle she should've taken. Um, hello? Nobody told her this (even though they seemed to know it) and piles of misinformation led to her standing in the humidity with a bad back for over 2 hours. The hotel itself was adequate but the bumbling incompetence of the front desk staff ruined the stay for us. She will be back in a few weeks under similar circumstances and without a doubt staying elsewhere.

Room Tip: Don't stay here unless you have your own transportation.

I enjoyed that hotel and think that it provides good value. You can see the plans take off from your room however very quiet which supprised me. Beds are comfortable and I think it had the biggest tv's I've seen in a hotel room.

I thought the brick walls gave some character and my room had brand new carpets as they had that new smell to them.

Overall, I had no issues with the hotel

Room Tip: Try and get a room facing the airport and a higher floor as you can see the plans take off.
