We went to the Science Center as we hadn't been there in some time, many of the exhibits were broken, missing information or faded.

Also there have been changes to some of the information (Pluto is no longer a planet) which although public knowledge hadn't been updated.

Place needs a lot of work, and not just in the parking lot.

Very disappointed.

“Too much stuff to do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Went around part of the centre with the kids and they loved it. Not our first time here and unlikely to be our last. So many great hands on exhibits and too much to do in one afternoon.

“Out dated, old and boring”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

This place honestly needs more funding. If you think your kids would have fun playing with paper planes or wooden blocks or random junk lying around everywhere. If you love out dated and old run down displays and exhibits....then this place is for you. I really don't see how this old place could spark the imagination of children...This place really needs the help of Neil deGrasse Tyson ....

“We go every year!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

We go in the fall and summer seasons, although this year, we will wait until Spring. Kids always have a great time - lots of hands on stuff to do.

My kids are older now, and disapointed that Kidspark is too young for them. They really liked this part of the visit.

The marble track part still takes at least 45 mins to an hour while they explore what is possible.

A MUST SEE if you have kids in Toronto.

“Great place, fantastic staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

Visited the Centre with our 7 year old son and all three of us had a great time. It's a bit out of the way but can be reached by bus, or parking on site is $10.
The exhibits are great - maybe a small number of them could do with a bit more explanation but generally they're fine and pitched at a good level for both kids and adults. The building is a bit of a challenge to navigate, one of the staff explained that the architect wanted folk to get lost as they wandered through. The day we visited it was very quiet, but there were no school parties visiting so that likely helped. The cafeteria served a good selection of good quality food and was reasonably priced.
What really made this trip though was the staff member, Justin, who ran the electricity demonstration. His enthusiasm, energy and passion for the subject was bruilliant and he got our son really engaged. He also took time out after the show to demo a couple of other exhibits to us, which was really going that extra mile.
We stayed for about 4 hours and still didn't see a heap of stuff, and that's not including the halls they're refurbishing at the moment. We will definitely return next time we're in Toronto.
