“Excellent Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2014

Stayed at this hotel at the start of our Canadian holiday. Excellent service and room was a delight. Good views and comfortable bed. Lots of space for luggage. Restaurant was good and self service for breakfast. Evening meal was good with prompt friendly service. Hotel is situated in downtown Toronto so easy to reach local attractions.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's in the heart of the business district and very convenient to the financial / banking district. The hotel itself is a little bit dated and the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are showing their age. I stayed there twice and found it to be one of the least expensive brand name hotels in Toronto, so it's fair to expect some "average" reviews.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies and that's a nice feature.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel a day ago for 5 nights. I like the hotel overall, staff are friendly, rooms are clean, but the hotel itself needs updating. The rooms had broken fixtures and dated carpets/furniture. Great location on Yonge Street, near a subway, 7 Eleven and drug store for any food/toiletries you may have forgotten about and need! Breakfast is a bit pricy so try Fran's Diner just around the corner from the hotel. Yummy and and half the price!

I visited this hotel for the third time now and again I was very happy with the service. I arrived early at the hotel, tired from a long flight and the hot weather had me surprised. So I was ever so pleased to get my room sooner. The room was clean, a very good size and all you needed was available. I really liked the luxury of having the pool available after a long day walking around town. The location is one of the biggest advantages of this hotel. You are a short walk from the city centre and have everything near the hotel you could need: Tim Hortons, Loblaws, Shoppers, … I couldn't have wished for much more.

Room Tip: I had a good and silent room even though the elevator was close to my room.

Green Features: It is a good thing if such a big hotel does it's bit.

stayed for 4 nights in twin queen bed room with free wifi, check in was quick and easy, the valet parking was polite and efficient, Our room was on 5th floor with a side view of Yonge street and large enough 3 adults and 1 child, the bathroom room was clean with plenty of towels, the hotel was bright and clean and all staff were friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is excellent 2 blocks from the subway and trolleys, about 25 minuet walk to the harbour area or CN Tower and 15 mins to the university, there is a 7-11 almost next door and a Mcdonald's opposite. we had a enjoyable stay would recommend for families

After having spent 2 disappointing nights in the Marriott FallsView I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Very friendly personnel and very helpful! Only complaint was the AC unit was terrlbly loud. If you stay in the North Tower be prepared to wait for the elevators...

Room Tip: North Tower- long waits for the elevator!!!!

Just spent 4 nights at this downtown hotel. Considering its location and amenities, I think it was good value. Rooms are not deluxe for sure (we had 2 queen beds) but not shabby either. Desk said that renovations begin next year. Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Good wifi. Excellent breakfast included in our rate. Free newspaper.

My only beef was the price of parking. $35 per day for valet parking (plus tax plus tips) which really adds up. I didn't have the time to check out local options but would do so if I were to stay here again.

Other than that, we were very satisfied with the hotel and the value received and would consider staying there again.
