“Great hotel, great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of this hotel. The staff was super and friendly. The king sized bed comfortable. I will return. I am not sure what else to write but I will fill in this space as the stupid thing wants 200 characters or more. OMG.

Room Tip: We booked it on hotels.com and got a great deal

“Back again, reliable and well located.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Stayed last night 17th November 2012 because we had a wedding to attend locally. Check in was good, no 'Welcome Back' but it was REALLY busy and the guy was charming of course.
One thing I have noticed at a number of Marriott hotels recently is some confusion by the staff at the hotels and special requests made by Elite Marriott members. The guy was concerned because I had asked for non-feather pillows and a refridgerator. That room was not yet ready and would we accept another one? Yes of course. The thing is, I have those preferences set on my Marriott Elite account because Marriott ask you to fill in those fields. Doesn't mean I MUST have them, just that it would be nice. I think there is a bit of a disconnect between Member Services and training of desk staff. and logged in At check out I had a question and pulled up my account to show the lady on reception what I was seeing and it was pretty clear she was not familiar with the site or the screens I was showing her. I do understand these are two separate entities - the hotel chain and the Marriott Elite Services section but it might be a good excuse for someone from Member Services to take a little road trip and bring hotel staff up to speed on what membership entails and how the screens look?
The room was pleasant, funny shape but pleasant just the same. We had a little balcony. There is a restaurant for breakfast but there is a Second Cup and a Wendy's attached to the same building(s) and across the street a Timmys and Starbucks. The valet parking is great and, for Toronto, not that expensive. Free Internet. Room was clean though there was a plastic cup with some kind of liquid on the floor by the bed but it was half behind the chair so very easy for housekeeping to miss. completely understandable. TV is TV. Only one waste basket/bin in the room and no 'Do Not Disturb' sign so we took one off the housekeeping trolley in the corridor to put on our door while we went to the wedding.

I really recommend this hotel as I have before. The best thing about it is the location. You can park and take taxis or walk to so much in the local area: theatres, movies, ballet, concerts, attractions, sights, restaurants and bars, and some rather naughty shops that are worth a stroll by and window shopping if for nothing more than a bit of a giggle.

Room Tip: High floors are always good if you have a problem with city noises. If you want to use the pool ask...

“Nice Hotel, Lots of space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

Stayed here for 4 nights in November on the 12th floor in the South Tower. Had a king size room and there were plenty of space. Bathroom was a bit small, but manageable. Room is starting to show it's sign, but was kept very clean.

The hotel is located to many restaurants and supermarkets (2min walk to Loblaw, Metro and Sobey's, beer store, LCBO...)

Did not try breakfast so can't comment on it

“Clean and tidy, but starting to show signs of aging”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I stayed for one night midweek on business. The room was okay, I can't point to anything wrong with it in particular but it was pretty typical two queen beds and a TV. It was clean and tidy, and the staff were good. A colleague of mine always stays there when he goes to Toronto, which implies to me that the other choices are more expensive and not worth the upgrade.

“Needs some upgrading...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

We arrived very late due to a flight delay with West Jet November 8th so we didn't check in until 4am of the 9th....the hotel was fully booked and they gave us Room 444 which is the wheelchair accessible room ~ we phoned right away to front desk and said this wasn't going to be an option due to how the shower and toilet was all open. They told us to ring first thing in the morning as few people checking out and would upgrade us. After taking a shower (I thought for sure the room was going to flood as the flow of the water was not going through as easily)! I asked the front desk to move us and within 40 minutes we were up on the next level. They were very understanding and had no problem doing this for us.

The new room itself standard clean room; the bathroom floor tiles were needing some upgrades and the sink could have used a bit more room to put toiletries and such. The flow of the shower however and the comfort of the beds were great! Nice king size bed with lots of pillows so that was all good.

The lobby and staff are all very friendly, overall would stay here again as the location was perfect! Coffee shops, subway, free wi-fi (big bonus) were all part of this hotel.
