You do not have to be crazy about plants to enjoy the conservatory (although I imagine it helps). The structure itself is unique - the archaic glass dome makes you feel as if you were transported to the 19th century. The interior is lined with a wild variety of plants - flowers, trees, bushes, cacti - the layout is well planned and provides many beautiful sights. The plants are well kept and there are signs with interesting facts about these. There is a great variety of plants and some birds/fish too. Visit is entirely free. A very nice way to spend an hour as part of your downtown stroll. Leaves you with a feeling of tranquility.
