“Lovely mansion”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Really worth a visit. Takes you back in time to a mansion lovingly restored to its previous glory. Can easily spend half a day with the very informative audio tours.Entry fee is worth it and it all goes into the preservation of this beautiful home, Entry fee includes audio and entry into the lush secret gardens, Also a small film, Would put it just behind Niagara as top attractions in Toronto

“Visiting a place built in the early 1900s”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

Built by wealthy Toronto businessman Sir Henry Pellatt in the early 1900s, Casa Loma, represents one man's architectural dream. Notable for its location proudly overlooking the city, the "House on the Hill" boasted many modern-day conveniences, such as central vac and an elevator. The Casa Loma building also was used as a location shoot for the 2002 movie Chicago. We enjoy visiting this place.

“Interesting architecture, but not amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

This is basically a really big, somewhat empty manor house (the furnishings were sold off a long time ago). The story of the Pellatts is interesting, and some of the features of the house are neat (especially the conservatory and the climb up to the top of the Scottish Tower), but I'm not sure I would've gone out of the way for this if my husband hadn't thought it sounded cool.

“OK!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Our family went to Casa Loma in June. The castle was nice outside and inside. The castle had the garden in the back. It is good for one time visit.

“Old and rustic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Interesting, but once again if it had not been purchased on the city pass, I would indeed pass up this castle. It was a quick look into another time. Neat rooms, but some are not furnished. Basement was never finished, the swimming pool is dark and creepy.
