Does any city have something like this? The trip on the ferry is amazing and quite picturesque. Fantastic picture taking opportunity from the middle of the lake as the entire toronto laksehore skyline is breathtakingly visible. Doing this trip after sunset is romantic and amazing to see the city lights. This is especially so if there is a baseball game on a hot summer night and the roof of the sky dome/ rogers centre is open producing a vertical pillar of light shooting out into space.

The islands themselves are amazing. There many beaches on the island. Two large beaches and 3-4 hidden little beaches if you make your way though the trees and hidden paths.

There is even a nude beach on the island.

there is also a peer that juts out into lake ontario. From this peer at night you can see the lights in buffalo.

There is an amusement park with roller coasters etc., on the island as well.

on a hot summer day the islands are packed with families representing every ethinc group on planet earth pic nickng and BBQing. It is quite sight to see. There are also several restaurants on the island.

You can ride bikes on teh island and i Think there are also bikes to rent on the island.

You can spend an entire day here and not be bored. It really is a must to experience the islands on a trip to toronto.

“A lovely escape from the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

One of the best value attractions in the city. Just 7CAD for the ferry over, and so much beautiful space to explore - river, parks, and beach. It was brilliant, though the bike hire was more expensive than we were prepared to pay, though some people h ad taken hired bikes from downtown over.

“Nice atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

The park is a nice oasis in the middle of a big city. Our hotel was beside the ferry so it was convenient to visit. The amusement park is more suited to young kids. We only went for 2 hours in the evening. Looks like a good place to enjoy a picnic.

“To get away from the noisy city”

To relax, to walk or bike around, to swim, you are really away from the city. It is quiet and beautiful here!
