“A beautiful oasis in the middle of a bustling city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013

What a find this was. We took the short journey across to the main island and wandered around for the day, hiring a bike , having lunch and sitting on the beach. Great place to cycle with children and plenty of safe play areas. Next time will take a picnic.

“Great place to appreciate Toronto”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

Wonderful way to spend a morning in Toronto. The Centre Island is a bit soulless, but the island becomes genuinely charming as you walk towards the Ward's Island ferry dock, where there are also some lovely cafes where you can sit and enjoy the ambiance of the place.

“Fantastic Family Fun Day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

I spent 2 days on the island (avoiding the Nudist beach at the north of the island) visiting the fun park, old houses, and east beach where we swam and sailed model boats.
The weather was in our favor and we had an awesome time, the kids fun fair was absolutely amazing with adult rides shrunken down to kids level my 4 year old road the roller coaster, rocket ships, pirate ship and much much more. People were amazingly friendly and the walks were beautiful and clean.

If you're in Toronto and you have some time to yourself The Island is a Must !

“Fun for everyone!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

I love going to Toronto Island!! The ferry isn't to expensive and departs regularly. There are several different parks you can walk through and explore. There's a couple of different restaurants that have great menu items!! The Carousel Café is a personal favorite! If you've got young kids, take them to the amusement park, which is lots of fun! Some great points of interest are the Franklin Children's Garden (which as adults we had fun going through), the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Wading Pool, Amazing Maze and more!! You can also rent a bike and explore the island faster and take it all in. Take in a day at the beach but it's best to bring a picnic to avoid high food costs. Toronto Island is a definite must!
