My wife and I stayed over-night at this hotel, hoping for a decent view of the lakeshore, and where the room itself was spot-on, other aspects of our stay certainly wasn't. So with the good points first of all, the room was clean, well-stocked, and even came with a complimentary bottle of water which is rare compared with other similar stays in the city. Rarer still was the FREE internet access in the lobby, a little slow but certainly a hassle-free experience none-the-less. Unfortunately there were more bad points. To begin, when making the booking over the phone, there was an air of poor and unhelpful attitude emanating from the girl, where audible sighs could be heard when she checked on certain questions I had requested of her, and almost making me feel as if I was being a nuisance. I wanted to make sure that we had a room overlooking the lakeshore, and that the bed was king-size. However, upon arrival, my third floor room had the views of the trees with the bed certainly not of a king-size nature. Furthermore, a request for email confirmation of the room never came. Unfortunately this wasn't just a one-off, because I had a similar unhelpful experience when being checked in this time by a guy, and again, it seemed as if I was putting him out, to the extent that any questions I did have, I felt it wasn't worth my while asking them. So to that end, the staff were unreliable and generally unapprochable. To add further insult to injury, the adjacent room to mine was making a lot of noise and being loud for the best part of the evening. Apparantly a load of drunks were in there, and near to midnight I made a call to the front desk out of desperation. It was nearly an hour later before the issue was resolved. So whilst it was bad luck to have these kind of people rooming next-door to me, the fact that it took hours before this was resolved made me decide that this hotel is just not professional or responsible enough for my liking. Oh, and one more thing to add, the bill for the movie I had ordered was charged higher than it ought to have been, which would have been ok if it wasn't for the fact that another girl argued over this, making an incorrect claim that the taxes were added to this value when clearly the taxes were added separately further down the bill. It took another person's input before I was shown to be correct. So to sum up, a bad example of customer service and even security.
