My tour group stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and found it to be quite adequate. The rooms are roomy with all the features most of us like--good tv, refrigerator, comfy beds. I had a good view of Lake Ontario from my room. The hotel is quite accessible, service is good. The attached restaurant is certainly adequate.

Great reception staff. Nice big bed, although the room was nothing special. Sink in the bathroom was cracked.

Location is quite far from the city. Ok if you have a car. There's a tram stop not to far away too.

Busy road runs right next to the hotel.

  • Liked — Reception staff.
  • Disliked — Tiny bathroom.

Experience should have been better, with blame in part due to staff

My wife and I stayed over-night at this hotel, hoping for a decent view of the lakeshore, and where the room itself was spot-on, other aspects of our stay certainly wasn't. So with the good points first of all, the room was clean, well-stocked, and even came with a complimentary bottle of water which is rare compared with other similar stays in the city. Rarer still was the FREE internet access in the lobby, a little slow but certainly a hassle-free experience none-the-less. Unfortunately there were more bad points. To begin, when making the booking over the phone, there was an air of poor and unhelpful attitude emanating from the girl, where audible sighs could be heard when she checked on certain questions I had requested of her, and almost making me feel as if I was being a nuisance. I wanted to make sure that we had a room overlooking the lakeshore, and that the bed was king-size. However, upon arrival, my third floor room had the views of the trees with the bed certainly not of a king-size nature. Furthermore, a request for email confirmation of the room never came. Unfortunately this wasn't just a one-off, because I had a similar unhelpful experience when being checked in this time by a guy, and again, it seemed as if I was putting him out, to the extent that any questions I did have, I felt it wasn't worth my while asking them. So to that end, the staff were unreliable and generally unapprochable. To add further insult to injury, the adjacent room to mine was making a lot of noise and being loud for the best part of the evening. Apparantly a load of drunks were in there, and near to midnight I made a call to the front desk out of desperation. It was nearly an hour later before the issue was resolved. So whilst it was bad luck to have these kind of people rooming next-door to me, the fact that it took hours before this was resolved made me decide that this hotel is just not professional or responsible enough for my liking. Oh, and one more thing to add, the bill for the movie I had ordered was charged higher than it ought to have been, which would have been ok if it wasn't for the fact that another girl argued over this, making an incorrect claim that the taxes were added to this value when clearly the taxes were added separately further down the bill. It took another person's input before I was shown to be correct. So to sum up, a bad example of customer service and even security.

Being a Starwood Gold member I was first of all expecting an upgrade. Unfortunately, this did not happen. We received a room on 5 meters away facing the highway 401 bridge, so you could hear all cars passing by at night and we were not able to sleep at all. We complained but the hotel was fully booked due to a wedding reception. We complained to the general manager (left voicemail) but diod not recieve a reply untilafter we left. We decided to only stay that night and then went to the Westin Harbour Castle. Cannot recommend due to poor service and very poor and small rooms.

The Four Points is a very nice hotel. It's close to the city, the staff is superb, the room was nice and clean. The bed sheets smelled great and the bathroom was very clean. The only problem is if your room is on the Gardiner Expressway side. We knew that it could be a problem, since it was mentioned in some reviews, but we figured that it shouldn't be that bad...The noise was intense! We did bring some ear-plugs, just in case, and we used them. That was the only down side. I feel that paying around 100$ a night and having to wear ear-plugs is disappointing. But again, as soon as we put our plugs we had a nice night. It's up to you, because all the rest was very nice.

  • Liked — Nice clean bed, good size room
  • Disliked — THE NOISE!
