“Inviting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

I stayed at the Grand Hotel while on business and found it to be a very clean and modern facility. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had a good variety, was well presented and fresh. The parking lot is a little tricky to negotiate, but there were adequate spaces while I was there ... and even if you do not swim, you should check out the pool in the lower level. The bed was comfortable and the kitchenette was handy for a night of eating in. I ordered from Thai To Go and it was an economical and excellent option, instead of heading out into the cold to find a restaurant.

“Beautiful! Gorgeous Suite! Quiet and clean!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Bought a coupon on team buy for our anniversary. The apartment they upgraded us to was massive! The staff is delightful, the suite was pristinely clean and elegant. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a full kitchen, large living area. Roof top hot tubs and an ornate lovely pool area. We wished we could've stayed longer. Walking distance to Eaton center and Santouka Ramen (yum). Staff was over the top and restaurant for dinner was top notch. We will go back!

Room Tip: Watch for specials as their regular room prices are Pricey!

Dear babynr,

I am so pleased that we had to opportunity to welcome you to the hotel for such a special occasion! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. The hotel truly is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Toronto, within walking distance to the Eaton Center, great restaurants and theatres.

“Great staff, beautiful rooms, great restaurant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012 via mobile

Stayed here on a group buy deal. Was very nice, the staff is great and really took the time to take care of me. The location is slightly out of the way, but a short cab right takes you anywhere quick enough. The only issue I had was the parking lot.. its underground and extremely tight.. not exactly friendly territory for a pickup truck

Dear loki141,

I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Underground parking does tend to be tricky with pick-up trucks as there is a height restriction. During your stay with us next time, please feel free to take advantage of the above ground parking which is located on the north side of the hotel. I feel this will be move convenient for you to maneuver! The great thing about living in the metropolis of Toronto is the generous amount of taxis which can quickly take you from point to point!

loki141, I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the very near future.

Warmest,

Greg Egglesfield

“shady area but also convenient to shopping, cinema”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

This is a reasonably (for Toronto) priced hotel that has a nice exercise space and pool. The staff are generally friendly and, although there is no dedicated Concierge, the front desk staff do their best to provide useful information in a timely manner. It is, however, a bit of a gamble that they will have time and that their internet assisted knowledge will be useful. Forget getting hard to acquire tickets.

Similarly it is also a gamble trying to take advantage of their shuttle service. The shuttle service cannot be booked but if you see a black Cadallac SUV parked out front then you might be in luck. Enquire at the front desk.

Breakfast is a traditional hot breakfast with little allowance for vegetarians or vegan tastes. If you want soy milk to almond milk you may be disappointed. If you order a latte coffee then be prepared to pay between $5-7 for the privilege.

The roof top view is worth checking out. The views from the upper floors are almost worth the elevator hassles. The best poutine is just around the corner, but do not go out too late as the lines are longer and the crowds are shadier.
