“Good airport hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2009

My wife and I stayed at the Westin Bristol Place Jan 29, 2009 and found the hotel to be very good. We were heading to St. Lucia for a week and took advantage of the Westin's park and fly package which included 1 nights stay and a full week of parking for about $150 CAD. The price was comparable to most other airport hotels, and gets you some of the nice Westin perks.

We didn't have any trouble finding good parking spaces as some of the other reviewers noted, but this may have just been good luck on our part. The parking is outdoors, which can be a negative in the winter depending on weather.

The room and bathroom were very clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and the Westin "Heavenly Bath" was great as usual. The room featured a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the city. We were given a room on the 14th floor so the view was amazing.

The stay was great overall. The only minor issue we had was that our wakeup call came 30 minutes late. We were already up so it didn't affects us, but given this is an airport hotel, you should be able to count on the call.

Overall, we would recommend the hotel for airport travel. We've stayed at a number of other Toronto airport hotels and this one has been our favourite so far.

I am a Starwood Preferred Guest and I have visited quite a few Westin hotels and I was very disappointed by that one. It is an older property that has been renovated but not everyhting has been done. Don't let the website photos fool you. It has real dark hallways with old elevators with aged walls. The room was okay. The furniture is new as well as the LCD flat screen TV. The bed was good. We had no lights in our washroom and the light bulb in the bed lamp was burnt out as well. The WORST thing has to be the parking problems... We had checked-in at 2:00pm but went out until 9:00pm... Once we returned to the hotel at night, the hotel parking was full due to a function they had and even valet parking could not take our car.... So , here we are back at our hotel with a parking we paid for but we can't park.... The hotel front desk sent us to a nearby car wash where we could leave our car... NOT GOOD. I now know that you can park and fly and leave your car at the hotel, that may explain why it is that full. Anyways, at the Westin, you expect to have a spot for your car. They finally removed our parking charge but nothing else was done to make up for that mess... WILL NOT RETURN.

:-(

We stayed at the Westin Bristol on an overnighter in order to fly out from the airport in Toronto on an early flight. Booked through our travel agent and got a great deal which included free parking for the week.
A fabulous place to rest your head for a night or two with great staff and nice comfy rooms. We enjoyed drinks in the lobby bar and dinner at a conveniently located Keg restaurant right across the street.
Loved the wonderful shower and really nice bath products. Also loved the added touch of lemon water available in the lobby.
Would definately stay at this location again.

The Westin Bristol Place is as you would expect slightly more upmarket than many chains.
It is easy to find just off the highway and exhibits the usual frills , valet parking etc.

The people at the front desk were very helpful both at check in and when I booked an extra night as got snowed in.
There is both a formal restaurant and a more casual bar area, both of which are very comfortable , spacious and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and accomodating and the food is good , with all the touches of a gourmet chef and as a result probably a little over priced.

Right next door is a steakhouse which I personally would recommend for larger portions and a lower price , but still maintain quality.

The rooms are very comfortable with HD flat screen TV , wet bar etc. The only draw back is that the heating in the room either did not work or else could not be controlled as the heat stayed on all night at 70 which for me was way too much and let to a coupe of restless nights sleep.

All in all though it is a great stay if a little overpriced.

I attended a conference nearby and the Westin Bristol was one on the list for this convention. The room was wonderful, perfectly clean and very spacious. The public space was very tastefully done and elegant. The mezzanine bar had a full dinner menu and was a good place for me dining alone. It was a wonderfully comfortable place to dine. The service and the food were both excellent. There was a sushi chef every Wednesday at the bar and the sushi was about as perfect as one could imagine. The other food was also very well presented and of high quality. Prices were a bit high but it was a Westin afterall. Despite being at the airport, it was very quiet. There is truly nothing in that area but a few hotels, all lesser than the Westin. Threre are not even nicer restaurants around. To downtown by cab is about $50 to $55. You should plan to have a car if you want to stay here and use it as a base for Toronto touring. For the International Center (convention hall) and for transitting through Toronto, this is as good as it gets. The shuttle to the airport is free.

Me and my wife have stayed to the Westin Bristol Place Toronto Airport Hotel for 2 nights. It was the first 2 nights of our 3 weeks honeymoon to central and north America (Canada,New York and Cuba).

We decided to stay to this hotel because of its location near the airport. We were transferred from the airport to the Hotel by free shuttle. The room was very clean, spacious, new furniture, soft and xl double bed and a wonderful view to the airport. We didn’t use any other facility of the hotel than the room. The staff very helpful and friendly.

In the one and half days of our stay to Toronto area the one was spent at the Niagara Falls (you must not miss it) and the other half to Toronto.

If you are searching for a convenient, nice hotel near the toronto airport, I think that you have found it.

Being a user of tripadvisor for a long time. I think it is time to contribute to the community.

Stay there for a night. Very lovely hotel.
Good:
You will know the different when you step in the hotel... breath the fresh... fresh flowers everywhere in the lobby.
Quiet hotel which is v. close to the airport.
Large room with a nice long working desk.
Free bottles of water. (spg floor only maybe?)

Bad:
Staff did not greet or say hello when check in.
wi-fi costs a fee.
Parking costs a fee when other hotels park free.
Nothing to see around.
Housekeeper knocked the door @ 9am.

Overall:
Great value with good sleep. Food is not cheap around the hotel
