What a mess! Upon my arrival at my room, I was greeted by a discarded pizza box at the door, apparently left there by the prior guest. Once in the room, I found that the pizza box wasn't the only thing left behind: there were fecal stains on the bottom of the toilet lid (so much for "Sanitized For Your Protection"!) and a dirty bath towel. The hallways were terribly messy, with bags of dirty linen and trash everywhere, even at 4 p.m. (I've stayed at hotels where the staff were on strike, and they were tidier than this one.)

Housekeeping did respond promptly to my request for a good toilet scrubbing and was appropriately apologetic, but there is really no excuse for this in the first place.

There always seemed to be a long line at the reception desk, all day and all evening. Telephone prices are exorbitant: $2 for a "toll-free" call! Internet access in the rooms was somewhat expensive at $16 per day.

On a positive note, the views are exceptionally nice, the windows open to let the fresh air in, and the location can't be beat.

Toronto has some great hotels. Stay at one of them instead.

We wanted to be located so that we were closeby to some sights that were walkable, and the Sheraton seemed ideal. It was. We were assigned a club level floor room (#4035) as we are club members (there are 46 floors). The membership also includes continental breakfast except it's temporarily being served in the 2nd floor restaurant (Bistro On 2) instead of on the 43rd floor. We also were able to get complimentary bottled water in our room. There was a coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee included also; I believe this is standard for all rooms.

Our room had a view onto the Nathan Phillips square and ice skating rink as well as the old city hall building. The room itself was a good size with the typical desk and chairs. The Sheraton Sleeper Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom, however, could use some updating even though the marble sink and countertop were nice.

Staff were generally helpful, professional although I suggest that the concierge staff members (apparently there were the same two people on duty during our day visit) become more familiar with the hours of operations for recommended restaurants. We were there on Boxing Day weekend and were told that Fune Japanese Restaurant a few blocks from the hotel was open. It was not. Therefore, we wasted our time walking there.

Location-wise the hotel is good if one likes quirky as well as chain shop shopping as the hotel is on Queen St. W. It's also attached by the PATH system to The Bay department store which is connected to the huge Eaton Centre shopping mall. If you care to walk to Chinatown it's a long hike about 20 minutes or more depending on how slow or fast one walks. It's also possible to walk to the Queen's Quay harbourfront-about 25 minutes or so. In fact, we saw the Westin Hotel near the harbour and were very glad we chose to stay at the Sheraton. The Westin is isolated and the hotel itself very quiet. That is a good thing if one needs quiet as the Sheraton is completely the opposite. The Sheraton's lobby is huge and bustling almost like a train station in my opinion with many people walking in and out of it. During our visit there was a large group that had their get together at the hotel and their members occupied just about all the public spaces.

As far as internet use goes, the Sheraton is pretty good as there is a bank of seven computers with complimentary internet available for guests in the lobby area-first come first served. If one needs to print it's possible although there is a credit card charge.

Their bar/restaurant located on the lobby level is quite good although prices are a bit high. Their fish and chips and hamburger are good choices as are the drinks.

This was our 6th stay at the Sheraton - booking through Hotwire always gets us great rates. We are a family traveling for fun so we look for convenience to the downtown Toronto shopping, ice skating and restaurants. The Sheraton is the perfect location for all of these since it is connected to the underground PATH (don't even wear a coat for the walk to the Eaton Centre), and is right across the street from the public ice skating rink at the City Hall plaza. We always request (and have always received) a king bed room with a roll away, and a view of the rink and city. This time we were on the 16th floor in a corner room - what a view and plenty of room for the extra bed. Hotel pool and fitness room are also great in winter - you swim in and outside which is fun for our daughter.

Stayed at the Sheraton Centre Toronto after a DISASTER at the Grand and wow, so glad we went there instead.
It's like comparing prime rib to ground beef...what a difference in class.

Booked the jacuzzi suite for a romantic birthday...and got a great rate, complimentary champagne and breakfast. Plus, the concierge told us the best place to park for cheap!

The room had a cityview with two person jacuzzi... so gorgeous.. plus two flat screen tv's, beautiful bed linens, etc....

There are also great restraurants as well as shops on site, plus its in the heart of downtown toronto with city hall just across the street. Many things to do within walking distance.

The only negatives:
- the room service prices... completely ridiculous.
-and our breakfast in the "club lounge" got screwed up..

However, one phone call and they immediately gave us complimentary buffet breakfast on the second floor...it was huge and soooo good!
Instant customer service.
This is a hotel that knows and strives to make customers happy.

Would totally recommend and plan to go back many times.

Very quick check-in- accomodating with room change.
Room was a decent size and the bathroom was bigger than average. Clean.
prior to check out I noticed a prob. with room charges-desk couldn't fix it, but said they would bring the revised bill to me prior to check-out. No one came, so I had to stand in line yet again and they attempted to fix the billing problem to no avail. They had to end up emailing the final copy to me.
