“Great Location near ACC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

I visited Toronto for a Raptors game with friends and found the location to be superb, as the hotel is a short walk to the ACC and to shopping and entertainment. There are great views of the lake on the south side. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, the buffet breakfast was really good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My Starwood status was immediately acknowledge and I received a room upgrade with a lake view and a free breakfast for 2. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area - ideal for Leafs/Raptors games.

Room Tip: ask for lake view

This hotel is a large 1970's multi-use center-city development that provides a great location for visiting Toronto on business. The strongest point is the location, and the weakest point was the lines that often accumulate at the counters for check-in and check-out. As a mitigant for the frustration that is palpable in these lines, the management sends a waiter to give away free bottles of water to those who are waiting, but it would seem that they need some additional staffing at the front desks themselves. The breakfast was very satisfactory. Our group used meeting rooms, and we found the banquet and meeting staff very efficient and professional.

Room Tip: Some areas of the hotel are under renovation, so it is best to ask when checking in for a room where...

I've stayed here before on business and on this trip was back for a 1 night stay April 16th. I arrived early and the front desk was good to check me into an upgraded room (I'm Platinum with the Sheraton Chain so this is one of the benefits). Check-in was quick, the room was clean and nicely decorated, easy to connect to internet, lobby has a busy and fun vibe to it, hotel is very centrally located to shopping and theatre, etc.

I stay at Sheratons 50+ times per year and my only critique of this hotel was the club lounge up on the 43 floor was spectacular in many ways (views, spacious, etc) except the food choice was very limited. Most Sheratons serve a small basic buffet style meal with hot food but this oen just had high starch food and no proteins at all in the evening or morning. For breakfast, every choice of cereal and fruit was present but no proteint (except for some rubbery hard boiled eggs). On the one hand, maybe they don't want you eating a full meal up there as they want you to BUY a meal in the hotel restaurants, but on the other hand every other Sheraton I've stayed at (5-6 in Western Canada, many in the US and Europe) consistently have hot and full meals available in the lounge for both breakfast and supper.

I'd definitely come back but would need to plan to eat out and just skip the lounge.

GR 8 location. Friendly staff decent restaurant. Well worth trying 4 business or pleasure. Close to the entertainment district 4 people interested in plays or music. Close 2 sporting events and good shipping whether it be the Eaton Mall or stores on Quenn or Yonge street. Walk away from water front shops & restaurants.

Great location near the Eaton center and Queen street shopping. Make sure to stay on the south side to avoid hearing the hourly bell at the old cut hall. Comfortable beds, what you would expect from the Sheraton

not much to excite you here, the rooms are fine, the dining is meh, probably the best thing about this hotel is that the people were focused on service. Most of the time when I ask for a folio to be emailed to me the front desks at even great hotels seem to mess that up, but not these folks, so can't complain there.

I can complain though about my room service tray being left outside more door for 1/2 the day even after I called down about it...yuck.

Little piece of quirk here: the room service menus are on the television, which is a great way to cut down on clutter and paper except their timing was off: breakfast menu showed up at night and the all-day dining menu was all I could find for breakfast.....

Room Tip: View to the North was great, not to say that others aren't...
