“Super Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We booked through Priceline so we got great value, and still got a great room and view. It was freezing outside so the path link underground link was a great feature getting around the city.
The room was small but very comfortable and has a great bed. Decor was a little out dated; maybe better on a different floor.

“Mediocore at best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

This hotel is ok at best,

The Pros

Good location
Cool water fall inside

The Cons

I requested a king bed and the person on the phone told me I had the option of king or queen. So I said king as that is what I needed. Upon check out I was charged a $20 dollar fee that I was not made aware of on the phone after explaing this to the uninterested lady at the counter she said this was in the fine print anf part of hotel policy. I was shocked with the 2nd rate treatment they give guests at this supposed 4 star hotel. Absolutely no effort was made to resolve the issue on the part of the staff.

One of the light bulbs in our room was not working and I called in to get it fixed but nobody ever showed up.

No fridge in the room you have to pay $30 for one (A major reason not to stay here as all other competing 4 star hotels offer this as part of the price)

I conactacted concierge about the light bulb and was put on hold twice for over 10 minutes. The first time I hung up because I felt that at a 4 star hotel this is a embarassingly long wait but nobody ever called back again and I had to reinitiate the call.

Extremely long check out time, I think some kind of fitness event or group conference was going on but waiting over 30 minutes to check out at a 4 star hotel is unacceptable they should staff the desk fully during peak periods instead of having customers wait over 30 mins!

Parking is a rip off at $45 you can park a half block away for $16

If you look at the home pages of the Toronto hotels you plan to stay at alot of them have ratings of satisfaction. The Shearaton has the lowest rating at only 3.7/5 and this is for good reason. You are much better staying at other places around the city that provide better value, better rooms and also better customer service.

Room Tip: Get a higher room facing city hotel Beware of any hidden fees and always ask if a fee is included f...

“Not so relaxing and rooms a little chilly”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

The Sheraton's central location, comfy rooms and beds and (if you can get it) awesome Club Floor breakfast and both strong pluses for this property as a business hotel. It can be very very busy though - and staff, check in times and services deteriorate quickly as the place fills up. Rooms can be very cold in mid winter. On a recent winter stay, my colleague was refused new room even though his was a freezing 60F. The place is plagued by (false?) fire alarms - I always ask for a lower floor since these can happen in the middle of the night - walking 34 floors down and into the cold Toronto winter in the middle of the night is no fun.

Room Tip: Choose a lower floor in case of fire alarm.

“Will Not Return”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past and yet this was the first time I had a not so great experience.

Check in was quite the ordeal, the agent was not very helpful. Fortunately, I am familiar with the property and the area, otherwise I likely would have been lost, due to her unwillingness to answer even the simplest of questions. Another issue was the amount of money the hotel required for a security deposit, $300.00 per night, which the hotel refused to budge on. On my last stay, two months ago, the cash deposit required was only $100.00. If the deposit is left with debit the hotel returns it via cheque in 30 days time. This is slightly acceptable for a hotel that prides itself for being one of the best in Toronto.

The hotel restaurant, BNB, offered some of the best service in the city. Their food was excellent if you were looking to grab a quick bite.

Dealing with the front desk during check out was, again, a bit tedious. It seemed as though the staff could not be bothered to attend to the guests. As noted previously, I have stayed here several times and this was the worst experience by far. I can confidently say that I will not be returning to the Sheraton Centre.

“Great place to stay but expensive parking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013 via mobile

The Sheraton Toronto deserves the great applause on the stay. The room was clean and the bathroom are equipped with shampoo and other things. I was located in the west wing and it was great to see outside in the morning. It was very close to good life fitness and it was great for me to work out in the morning.
No breakfast was included and parking was rather expensive. Being spg member, I got a free complimentary Internet service. It also worked great. Great staff and it is definitely recommended to stay
