“Nice hotel, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

My husband and I stayed at the Park Hyatt for a couple of nights to celebrate our Anniversary. The pros to this hotel for us was they let us check in early which many hotels don't, and they extended our check out time by 2 hrs. I realize this is all subject to how full to capacity they are but it was definitely a bonus. The location is great as it is just off of Bloor St. and Yorkville where there is great shopping and nice restaurants. It is also very close to the University for those coming into town to visit kids or to check out the school. It has a really nice cozy bar on the top floor and a rooftop patio. The patio is not that big but still a bonus. The con would be that it was hot outside when we were there and the room never seemed to get as cold as I like it at night. The room was not hot but no matter how low I set the thermostat it didn't cool down the room quite enough. Having said this I would still probably go back as I probably like a cooler bedroom than most people . The rooms weren't cheap for what you got, but probably still cheaper than the other hotels in the area.

We stayed here for one night when we arrived in town while on a business road trip in Canada.
On arrival the staff were friendly and check in was quick and easy.
Our room was great, a good size and a nice bathroom. The room has everything has almost everything the traveller needs, the only thing missing is the ability to make a coffee in the room.
The hotel does offer free coffee near reception but who wants to go to reception for coffee.
The hotel is situated close to the main city areas with bars and restaurants nearby.
Overall The hotel is a nice city based hotel, its well kept and is what you would expect from a 5* hotel.

This elegant hotel, located across the street from two superb museums, offered a spacious, well appointed room and superb service. The rate was combined with Newark to Toronto airfare which made it well below the usual cost for such a superb property. located in the trendy, Yorkville section of the City, it was in walking distance to many exceptional restaurants and stores. like much of the City, the area has an interesting mix of modern and Victorian architecture. world class hotel and destination. I loved my long week end there.

Room Tip: Sunny, high rooms facing the Space Needle and downtown are silent.

Spent a few days there for business. Top notch service, impeccable rooms and perfect location. The thing I appreciated the most was the all-organic menu option for room service. Nice touch. The only downside, ridiculously expensive. That said, you get what you pay for...

Our first visit to Toronto and indeed Canada. We were not disappointed. We selected the hotel after careful research and the requirement to be located in an interesting and convenient area. The staff at the hotel were in every respect most helpful, courteous and efficient. The concierge desk was a font of useful information. The hotel was most efficiently managed and run. Our room was spacious and well equipped ( but no tea or coffee making facilities ), the linen was first class and the bed/s extremely comfortable. We were on the 14th floor but lifts were fast and plentiful.
Situated in the Yorkville area of the city, we had a wealth of attractions, restaurants, cafe's, shops etc within easy walking distance. For visits further afield the public transport system ( subway, buses and trams) were very close by. Value for money can be obtained by buying a day ticket which enables an individual to use any of the above over a 24 hour period and over any distances that they cover. Very worthwhile and removes the need to hire a car, which given the volume of traffic would not be much fun.
September seems to be a good time to go when the humidity has reduced and the weather is pleasant for sightseeing. We were visiting family but managed to pack in several visits. The Royal Ontario Museum is superb but probably needs at least 2 days to cover all the exhibits in detail. Also the Distillery area is of interest and has plenty of places to eat and drink. Children of all ages but especially small ones are welcome anywhere, and most have high chairs etc.
The saying goes that there are two seasons in Canada, construction and winter! We encountered the former and it is certainly true that building works were extensive and everywhere. Before booking enquire about this aspect.
Would we return? Most certainly. It is a lovely city, the people are friendly and polite, and there is plenty to see and do whatever one's tastes.

Room Tip: Ask about construction work (see above review). Rooms overlooking the park are probably quieter.

I stayed here last year for one night, and it was a very memorable stay! The room was very clean and the service was excellent and attentive. Our room had a beautiful view of the ROM and Toronto skyline. This hotel is in a great area of Toronto. Highly recommend!

we have stayed at the Park Hyatt several times and love the area and the hotel. The service is top notch and the staff is very accomodating. We were upgraded to a quiet corner room which was very nice. The only issue we had was with the concierge department. We wer told the museum was free on Friday after 4:30pm and open until 9:30pm. Neither of these were correct. also, were were told 2 packages we were expecting had not shown up yet. i started tracking them down and then discovered them in our closet. Overall a great placxe to stay. The beds are the best.

Room Tip: coner rooms are quiet and ask for a city view.
