“Amazing Hotel - luxury at a budget price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2009

We got an amazing deal on this hotel and having stayed several years ago I was dismayed to read some negative comments about it being "tired" and "shabby" - it was still fabulous. Amazing location and so much more than your usual hotel room - it feels like a one bed apartment - incredibly well equipped and comfortable. The roof top jacuzzi while the sun sets rates as one of the more romantic experiences of my life!!! Really comfortable for a weeks stay and amazing value.

I stayed overnight for business so did not really need all the space that I had. However, I would definitely return again for business or with my family.

The layout of the room is very nice with a separate bedroom and then a sitting room/desk/kitchenette. The bathroom can be accessed from the bedroom or the entrance hall.

Check in was quick and courteous, great location for access to downtown, parking was underground in the next building but very convenient.

Although it is right downtown, the rooms were quiet and the intersection it is at is not they typical downtown Toronto busy street.

Our second stay at CS - 5 nights this time. Suite on the 16th floor was clean and stylish. The design with separate dressing room is very clever and was ideal as we had twenty something daughter in tow!

Standard of cleanliness was very high

Staff were helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive - ideal

Wired internet was a bit slow and rather expensive - definately consider upgrading to Cityscape suite with free wi-fi - and free breakfast

Maybe doesn't have wow factor of other places we have stayed - but has everything else

Stayed in this hotel for 5 nights with my boyfriend. We got a really good deal online,if you stay for 5 nights you get 50% off the price of the entire stay!this worked out at 400EUR instead of 800EUR which was fantastic. Firstly the location is fantastic,on yonge&richmond st two blocks fro dundas sq,1 block from the eaton centre...just great!

We were so impressed with the hotel, the hotel is laid out in suites, there is a large bedroom with a kingsize comfy bed and large TV with a desk and chair..the room has a double door opening onto the living room area with a couch and chairs with a huge TV. The bathroom is large with a power shower, plenty of towels. There is separate room just outside the bathroom with the sink and a huge dressing table, loads of storage and the closet. The whole flow of the space works well. The mini-bar is fully stocked and there is a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink plus plates/glasses etc.

Fast wireless internet available also, it is pricey at 11.99 a day...but thats the only slighty negative point.

The whole hotel was spotless, the staff were extremely helpful with any queries/tour suggestions etc. We never ate at the restaurant in the hotel, but it looked good if a little pricey.I would highly recommend this hotel, it really made our stay in Toronto perfect.

This is our third time staying at the Cambridge Suites since 1996. The hotel continues to be just the right place for us. The two-room suite is a good size for two adults and one or two children. The staff is friendly and attentive. (We had our bathroom light go out and they came to fix it within 5 minutes...at 10:00 PM!) And the location is among the best in Toronto. In fact, this stay it rained quite a bit, but one can go from the hotel to many places in TO underground, so we stayed fairly dry. (OK, Chinatown was a problem.) Parking on-site with in-and-out privileges is a big plus. Our room appears to have been updated recently and it is in very good condition. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel (or at home), hands down!

Two minor complaints: The continental breakfast is nothing special. The coffee is good, but the breads are ordinary, as is the selection of fruits. The other problem is the wireless Internet service. It goes out fairly often. However, these two minor items will not keep us from staying here again.

We stayed for 3 nights as a long weekend away. The room was perfect - enough space to stretch out and relax, big bedroom with a very comfortable king bed, nice split bathroom with vanity in one room and the bath/toilet in the other.

2 large flat screen TVs with 50+ channels in the room, high speed internet available. On site parking (nominal daily charge with no in-out limits).

RIght in the center of downtown - 2 blocks from Eaton Center, 5 minute walk from the Winter Garden or Elgin Theatres, easy access to cabs, and easy to get to via car (off Yonge Street).

Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in the city.
