“great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Everything you might want is right outside the door. Great restaurants both casual and finer dining, shopping & tourist attractions. The rooms are a good size, the service is great. Check out the outside deck on the top floor. Nice outside space. Yorkville is a great area of the city including many high end shops as well as the old standbys.

Love this hotel and the location is perfect if you want to shop Yorkville and boutiques but during the fall and winter months, the heat is centrally controlled so...it's hot in the rooms. Can't adjust temperature so it made sleeping tough. Otherwise, hotel and amenities are good.

We booked this hotel on hotwire.com and got an excellent rate...it's in a beautiful location, very nicely decorated rooms, and the Proof Bar is wonderful! Staff are very professional, but approachable at the same time...loved every minute of our stay!

We keep coming back here because of the location but also love the rooms and the fact that it isn't high rise!
My only gripes this time were that our 4th floor room overlooked a car park at the rear of the hotel and we could clearly hear the trains on the subway line which must run under the hotel (?).

Can only comment on the reception and cleaning staff - both were excellent.

Room Tip: probably best to have a room on a high floor to get away from the subway noise

Sunday Oct. 28, 2012 - First time at this hotel which is just in front of the beautiful Koerner Hall - nice staff, easy check-in, green apple at the desk, large room, clean, comfortable bed. We had room service because the restaurant was closed and too rainy outside. Very nice service (thanks Peter!), delicious and hot food. All the staff is helpful and nice - they want to make your stay perfect - and it was. I'll go back for sure and do not hesitate to book this hotel.

Very helpful staff, beautiful decoration and comfy beds, every detail has been thought of, even the restaurant is first class and the concierge did his best to help out.In fact we arrived at the wrong hotel, our booking was for the other Intercontinental in Toronto, they made the necessary arrangements to accommodate us.
