Just returned from a fabulous stay at the new Four Seasons. Considering it has not been open for even 4 weeks, I was curious as to whether or not it would live up to the hype.
We arrived at 11:30 and the room was not quite ready so we went to lunch down the street. When we arrived back, the room was ready. It was a very spacious and airy Deluxe Room in the corner. It had a small foyer leading to the room with 2 double beds, small sitting area with 2 armchairs and table, and a long desk with iPad, Nespresso, etc. facing the window. The decor is stunning with soft pale whites and greys. The bathroom, however, was the best part. It was huge, with a long counter, TV, Etro toiletries, a soaking tub, and shower stall. You really have to see it in person to fully appreciate it. Later on, we went to the spa, which was beautifully designed (and massive- 30k sq ft). The steam room was out of order which was a disappointment.
For dinner, I ordered room service of arugula and beet salad, 8oz tenderloin with peppercorn sauce and mashed potato, and chocolate tart. It was a very good meal, better than most room service I've had (even in hotels of this class). The beds were quite comfortable, although there was a small blinking in the ceiling (perhaps smoke alarm) which proved annoying while trying to get to sleep.
Turndown service was thorough, and service as a whole, from valet parking to checkout, proved why Four Seasons is considered one of the best hotels in the world.
Get a deluxe room, they are worth the small premium
