“Great Beer Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2014

This brewery is right across from the CN tower and is set in an awesome building. They give you either a glass or bottle opener as a gift with purchase of the tour. An added bonus you get a fresh beer to take with you on the tour! Most beer tours wait until you listen to all the information beer you get to taste anything. The nice part about taking the beer with you on the tour is they used the beer as a prop during the tour. This brewery tour is also unique because they do all the bottling and packaging out of this location so you get to see that perspective as well.

One down side if you are beer connoisseur, they only make and distribute one type of beer. The upside is this beer is only available in Canada so you can't get it anywhere in the states.

“Worth the visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014

I visited this place with my gf during our Toronto trip and we both liked it very much. We arrived in the brewery early to get to the first (12AM) brewery tour and surprisingly got a private one (after our tour the following tours had seemingly more people in them). The tour itself was really good, jokes were flying in the air and the tour guide knew her stuff. In addition, for the 10$ tour price you'll get a beer sample, a bottle of beer and a souvenir glass or a bottle opener. Not a bad deal!

“What fun!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

Dynamic place with friendly and enthusiastic staff. Employees are clearly proud of the Steam Whistle business story -- and they should be. Excellent rescue of an urban historic property. Oh, and the beer is great!

“Affordable and Enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2014

The tours are very affordable: $10 (you leave with a souvenir glass or bottle opener), $15 (6 pack), or $26 (12 pack). You're also given two small samples (one while you wait for the tour to start and one at the end of the tour), and a beer to drink on the tour.

We had a pint while we were waiting for our tour to start, and Steam Whistle staff were around to answer questions about their relatively new growler option. The staff there are great - everyone's friendly, the facility is clean, and the atmosphere is chill. The tour is informative and short (~30 minutes), and will give you insight into how this company is doing things differently than your average brewer.

You'd be wise to gett there at least an hour before you want to take a tour if you're going on a Saturday, as it gets busy. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this if you're a beer fan.
