“Excellent Soups”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Authentic Japanese soups expertly prepared and modestly priced. Haven't tried their other dishes because the soups are too good pass up.

“Good sushi, average staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

The sushi here is actually very good. Even my Japanese coworker said so. And it's not too expensive. The staff tho can be a bit careless and seem uninterested. The owners are very nice on the other hand.

“Great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

I've visited many times and while it is not the best sushi restaurant in the city, their portions are large and for $22 you can a fresh meal. I typically have sushi dinner B. The staff is friendly, the green tea is free and if you want some privacy, simply ask for a room in the back of the restaurant. This is a family run restaurant that's been around for years. If you want to go for lunch they typically offer a lunch special weekdays. Don't expect too much, it is not a fancy place to take a date but their fish tends to be fresh since they have lots of people visit at lunch.

“Simple but good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2012 via mobile

A simple menu with no pretensions but expertly executed. Everything was good from the miso to the teriyaki. The service was great and there were nice touches like a tofu amuse-bouche that was surprisingly good.

“Very fresh and well cut sashimi/sushi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

The only problem we encountered with this simple and traditional Japanese restaurant was the little variety of sea food they used on our sushi/sashimi combination platter...3 fish varieties and some scallop..no shrimp, eel, octopus etc.,even if they were visible and available at their counter. It got boring after a while since we ordered their"boat"which is enough for at least four to feast on.
The soft shell crab was great!
