We stayed in this small hotel for two nights in the weekend to attend the wedding of a friend's daughter. While this is not a 5-star hotel, it has the amenities that we needed for the short stay. It is close to many restaurants and the Scarborough Town Center. One particular restaurant we enjoyed our lunch was at the House of Wong Chinese restaurant on the same street. It can be found when you turn right (the only way) as you exit the hotel and a few blocks on your left in a little shopping plaza.
The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, always seem to have a smile on their faces especially the ones at the counter. This is very rare nowadays especially in smaller hotels. It made the stay so much more enjoyable. The cost is very reasonable about $66 per night and we booked through Canadian Hotel Guide ( http://www.canadianhotelguide.com/).
One other interesting thing to mention is that - this is the first time that we had self-served waffle in a hotel restaurant for breakfast. We are seasoned travellers having visited many cities in Australia, many countries in Asia including China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore etc and many in Europe. But the self-served waffle maker was a first and a pleasant surprise. We really enjoyed the hot and tasty waffles for BF.
That being said, the hotel rooms need some upgrades. The bathroom was small, your shoulder would be touching the counter while sitting in the toilet. The top bathroom door hinges came off - we had to push them back to close the door.
All in all, you get what you pay for. I would not mind to stay there again.
The rooms on the side of Kingston street could be a bit noisy.
