“Nice hotel; walking distance to Conv. Center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed here for a convention at the Metro Toronto Convention Center. It was a nice hotel within walking distance to the show venue as well as plenty of nightlife opportunities. Some of the nightlife appeared to be pretty lively and picked up after dark, but the hotel does a good job with access control after hours.

Nothing too spectacular about the hotel itself - just an average place to stay while in town.

The hotel is about a 10-12 minute walk from the train station on Front Sreet and in the middle of what is called the Theater district and is bounded on the North by Queen and on the South by King Street. The hotel is a short cab ride from the Billy Bishop Airport.

My check in was done quickly and professionally. My room was large with a King size bed. I was pleasantly surprised to find a whirlpool tub, and a fireplace in the room. You can watch TV from your bath - just don't drop your remote in the water. There is also a standing shower in the bathroom.

There is complimentary WiFi, a fridge, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker in the room. A restaurant on the second floor serves excellent breakfast.

The best part of my stay was the very comfortable bed and the feather soft pillows.

Toronto as a city was a bit of a disappointment as it is basically one big building site. Having said that this hotel was a little oasis in the middle of all the construction, the hotel was very clean and well apointed with friendly staff. Best of all it is just off the the main tourist area with its many restaurants and bars.

I have to come to Toronto often for travel and I really like to stay at this hotel because it's within walking distance from everything.

The hotel is well maintained and clean, has free wi-fi. The lounge restaurant offers a good continental breakfast with the option to add eggs cooked to order.

I've enjoyed my stay.

Booked through hotwire and was very impressed with this hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Hotel was clean, room was spacious, clean and modern. Hotel offered free wifi that worked really well. Microwave and mini fridge was also an added bonus.
On hotwire it was rated a 3.5 star and I was able to get it for $86 CAN a night, so I was extremely pleased with this!

I just got back from a one-week business trip and spent the whole week at the Hilton garden inn.

This is one of those 2-star hotels at which business travellers (like me) stay.

So I'm giving this a 5-star review within the context what you'd expect from a modest urban chain hotel.

Very clean, staff was super friendly, and you're right in the heart of downtown Toronto with most everything you'd want/need a short walk away.

Highly recommended.

Stayed here while we were at a conference and it was everything we needed. The cookies were a welcome sight after a drive. We were in room 1505, a corner room and had no issues with noise. Nice view of the city too. The staff was very friendly and we parked in a nearby lot for $30. Would definitely stay again.
