Description: Welcome to the new Loose Moose, featuring a brand new menu and the largest draught beer selection in downtown Toronto. Since pouring our first pint in 1989, a lot has changed at The Loose Moose. And yet, so much has remained the same. Our space is different, but our address isn’t. Our business has grown, but we’re still independent. And now, even with the most draught beers downtown, we’re no beer snobs. Never have been. Never will be. After all, staying true to yourself is how you make new friends - and keep old ones. Anyone who’s stopped by The Loose Moose to unwind after work, watch the game or make a night of it will tell you the same.

“Loose Moose? The Chase Him!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

It was a heat wave in Canada. Hot. Tired. On bicycles. We spy a very Canadian looking pub/restaurant--the Loose Moose. You cannot miss it. Outside is a large bronze moose head. How Canadian is that? Once inside, the AC was going full tilt. NICE. We ordered burgers and salads. Not crowded at all. The post lunch crowd had gone. Many TVs on the wall broadcasting sports. Our waiter was friendly and spoke about the local area. Nice that there was a bike stand near the restaurant. We then biked to CN Tower and off the Wards Island. I nice stop on our way to eat at pub that was family friendly in the afternoon. I bet it is more the beer crowd at night, yet this served us well. Walked away happy.

“Check out the "Sweet Potato Thing"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

A group of six of us walked to the Loose Moose (chosen because of it's great name) ... and each of us ordered a beer (all were wonderful) and our lunches.... which were fantastic. We were totally enjoying the atmosphere, great food, and the friends that we haven't seen for a while......WHEN a surprise was carried to two young women seated at the table next to us. We found out that it was the "Sweet Potato Thing" ... it looked kind of like a huge loaf of bread. It is described as: sweet potato fries, french fries and onions, cooked to an addictive crunch, with a coconut chili dipping sauce. The "girls" ate and ate -- and still left over 1/2 of it when they walked out -- at another table, ONE man was attempting to eat all of one order ... and he came amazingly close to finishing it. We had a great time... and promised to return at another time and try the potato "thing"... The beers were awesome - let them recommend options for you.

“Great pub food!”

Try the fried chicken, yum! Great beer selection on tap. Good service too and fairly reasonably priced (for Toronto!).

“Gross”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

Ate here prior to a Jays game and ordered the pork sliders. Four of them arrived - 3 and a half were pure fat! I had ordered a water with my drink which never came, and the waitress kept my change even after adding on a service charge as we were a group of 10 people. The washrooms were untidy - rolls of toilet paper had fallen onto the floor and unraveled. I wouldn't eat here again.
