“Fantastic Pulled Pork Sandwich”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

My fiancee and I ended up here one January afternoon in 2013 after a long walk in the snow. We stumbled upon it by accident, but it was a wonderful accident. Small menu, however, that just means that they do a small amount of things very well. I had the pulled pork sandwich. Amazing. Sandwich and a drink for a round $10 - the same as you would pay at Subway. Definately will return.

“Could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

The beef brisket sandwich with black camel BBQ sauce and caramelized onions was tender, not dry but lacked some flavour, it needed more BBQ sauce and onions. The sandwich was a good size a nice bun. They don't skimp on the brisket, but I would have preferred more sauce and onions they were lost and did not stand up to the proportion of brisket even to accent the flavour. Too bad I got it to go or I would have asked for more sauce and onions, well maybe next time if there is one. Worth a shot. Adios amigos!

“Delicious sandwiches that make you want to come back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

I discovered the restaurant through a friend and since then deliciousness of the pulled pork sandwich I tried stuck on my mind. The meat is always juicy and tasty then the variety of vegetables and other toppings makes every combo a winner. If you're looking for something more on the inside just go to their other location by eglington:boar.

“Favourite sandwich spot in Toronto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013 via mobile

Nobody does slow roasted sandwiches better. Whether it's the chicken, pork or beef - you cannot go wrong. Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions either; the toppings are all worth a try. The coleslaw and chilli aren't bad either. If you live in the area and haven't tried this place, drop whatever it is ur doing and go now. I mean it!!!

“Black Camel sandwich shop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Have you been searching for the perfect beef brisket or pulled pork sandwich, well search no more...right across the street from Rosedale subway station is a very little known treasure that we happened upon a few years back - the Black Camel. It is a family owned business that has been around for quite some time and their sandwiches literary melt in your mouth. Their prices are great, the food is fresh and absolutely delicious - plus they even do a mean breakfast sandwich of steak and eggs. This is a definite must for those who love their brisket! I highly recommend trying this at least once in your life - you won't be sorry.

The only downside is that the restaurant is small and seating space is very limited, but if it is a beautiful day you can always take your sandwich and drink across the street to the park or take the food home as we do to enjoy with family and friends!
