The Cliffhanger Restaurant, located in the Best Western Hotel has a great location, especially for attracting guests arriving from the US, the atmosphere is great, views are stunning, they cater a lot of weddings, but the service was awful and the food quality poor.
There was no excuse for poor service, we were the only customers.
My wife ordered the all day breakfast ho hum with cold toast.
I ordered the fish and chips, which are "Sleeman battered". They are frozen pre-battered filets, with frozen french fries and not even a small cole-slaw or slice of tomato to add excitement.
If your hungry .... go across the street to the Neebing Roadhouse instead.

We appreciate your feedback and have brought them to the attention of our Executive Chef. We are deeply sorry to hear your experience in our restaurant went below your expectations. We are always striving to offer our patrons a memorable experience, but nevertheless it is obvious that in your case it fell through the crack. I would like to assure you that your experience with our service is not our standard, and will make improvements based on your observations.
We take a lot of pride in the food we serve and have a system in place to pro-actively handle complaints. Although we were not able to find any complaints or issues around the day of your visit to the restaurant, any time an issue is brought to our attention they are logged in a tracking binder, and in most cases all issues are resolved before they become a problem. It truly surprises us to read your comments of our Fish & Chips as it is one of our Best Sellers, they are battered in house with Sleeman Dark beer, chips, and home style coleslaw. Hopefully you will give us another opportunity to serve you, as our standard is to go above & beyond the expectations of our guests.
