“Authentic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014 via mobile

Huge portions, great food and great value. Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Polish Bistro that included borscht, pork cutlet, perogies and salad with a delicious yogurt cheesecake for dessert. A friend had the bacon wrapped chicken breast....a must try for the bacon lover. Atmosphere is simple and the owners are attentive and very interested in your opinion. I will definitely go back.

“Quaint Polish Restaurant - Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2014

We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and chose it because of the highly rated reviews. We also wanted a Mom and Pop restaurant. We started with the Borsch soup. Never had it before and it was really good. My husband had the pork tenderloin and I had the small sampler platter which included, salad, 3 meat pierogies, 3 cottage cheese pierogies, 2 meatballs and 2 cabbage rolls. It was awesome. Tender and delicious. The gentleman who owns the restaurant was so friendly and helpful with our tourist questions. His wife makes all the food from scratch. I highly recommend this restaurant.

“Excellent Homemade Polish Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

Arriving in Thunder Bay on our third day of a cross Canada trip, the excellent reviews of the Polish Bistro with the emphasis on homemade caught our eye and so we phoned made a reservation and then drove over.

My wife had the mixed plate of of 2 cabbage rolls, 2 meat and 2 cheese filled perogies and a salad while I chose the eight meat filled perogies with mushroom gravy and a salad.

Homemade, delicious and all this for under $20 for both of us. We agreed that had we been staying another night we would have gone back to try something else.

“Just like Buba used to make! It was so tasty!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2014

This is a great little restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere, great people. The owner was super friendly and really concerned that we liked the food. It's not too big, so get there early as this place will fill up fast as it catches on. The food was authentic and you receive excellent portions. Don't forget to ask for your lunch stamp card for your free lunch because once you've eaten here it won't take you long to fill it up!
