“Basic, clean and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Pretty standard room, clean and quiet. Close to the airport. No hot items in the breakfast selection and the choices available for breaky weren't that great although management says hot items will be available soon. Overall pretty good though.

Thank you for your response. We hope to see you again soon.

Yes, we will be adding hot items to our breakfast buffet. We should have the electric chafing dishes in this week and as soon as they arrive, we can order the food products. We plan on offering sausage paddies and scrambled eggs for a start.

Rooms are clean and upgraded, very nice breakfast room c/w television and cleaning staff, rooms well maintained, staff are always helpful and polite. Free wireless internet is very good. Computer workstations also available. Local phone calls are free unlike those expensive motels. Parking provided. Great location. Have stayed here often and never disappointed. Highly Recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We like feedback from our guests so we know what we are doing correctly, and what has room for improvement. We have just increased the speed of our internet and will soon be adding more hot items to our breakfast buffet. We will be starting with sausage paddies and an egg. Along with the new English Muffins, guests have the opportunity of creating their own " egg McMuffin " type breakfast.

Stayed here while traveling across the country. The room was average, but comfortable. Slept well. Nothing stood out about the hotel or staff, either positive or negative. Stayed with our cat, which was nice that they accommodated. Would probably stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights for business and would definitely pick this hotel if in the area again for any reason. The rooms were clean and the convenience of the ground floor rooms cannot be beat.
Check in smooth, efficient and professional. The room was clean, modern and had enough space. Bonus - free wifi - got to love that. The beds and pillows exceeded the comfort of most Hilton hotels (my favorite) and the linens we quite nice for the level of the hotel. The breakfast was ample and the location of the hotel was great for those looking for easy access to the airport or dinner options which were just down the street.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and this would be my first choice if ever I returned to this lovely city.

Room Tip: Loved the convenience of the ground floor rooms which despite facing the roadway were plenty quiet.

We routinely choose Best Westerns because most of them have a consistent pet policy and I have yet to find one that wasn't clean and well managed. This moter inn is no exception to that experience and was very clean, well maintained and the staff were polite and more than helpfull. As with most of the major chains in Thunder Bay, this property offers medical rates for visitors to the district medical complex as well as being pet friendly. The double queen beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were above average in condition and cleanliness and despite having a ground floor room facing the main street, it was very quiet. Breakfast was standard fare of cold and "make your own waffles" but was well supervised by hotel staff and there were no shortages or delays. Parking was more than adequate but if you are towing a trailer, you are going to be challenged to find a spot without unhooking. No restaurant or bar here (good thing, keeps it quiet) and no pool which tends to make it more business friendly and adult oriented. Overall, I will use it again and have no hesitation to rate it 4 out of 5. If it had more amenities for families it would get an unconditional 5 but for quiet, clean and helpfull, it is very good value for your money.

Room Tip: East side rooms face away from the main road but all ground floor have direct entry parking.

Spent a short night after arriving on a late flight. Check in could have been alot more friendly and informative-had to ask re if there was a continental and then the time, also had to question about check out time. The room was clean however and also quiet. Was nice to be able to park outside our room as it was on main floor, in order to keep eye on vehichle and easy for unloading as we had alot of baggage. The beds were comfortable also.

Room Tip: main floor rooms have outside entrance

Thank you for providing feed back on our hotel. We rely on guest comments to keep improving. Unfriendly service should never happen in the " Service Industry", especially in our hotel. I would appreciate more information on your stay with us so that I may take some corrective action. stuart.crossroads@shawcable.com

This hotel is in a great location and has a great breakfast included in the morning, but if you are going to stay here do not let them give you room 201. This room is nicely furnished and is the same as any other room except for the the following issues.
- you are right beside the elevator and stairwell
- you are above the main lobby and can hear people talking from the lobby
- outside your window is the main entrance to the lobby so you hear everyone arriving and leaving... Late at night when the bars close.
- across the hall is the housekeeping room and they start early

If I were to stay at the hotel again I would request the 3rd floor about 3/4 of the way down the building... It should be quiet in this area.

The hotel did have very reasonable business rates.
