“Clean & Comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

We booked our stay with the Best Western Crossroads through a travel website, which taught us another lesson about the benefits of dealing directly with the hotel. We were traveling with two small parrots, and upon arriving in our 3rd floor King bed room, noticed a sign indicating that pets were not allowed in this room. I immediately went to the front desk, and fortunately there was one room left in the almost sold out hotel - unfortunately it was one with 2 queen beds - the pet-friendly rooms with king beds are few, and while we would have gotten one back when we booked, because the travel website had not notified the Best Western of this necessity, we could not get one at this late time. In fact, the hotel was full by the time our room was changed, so we were lucky we arrived when we did. The front desk staff were good about changing the rooms for us. Additionally, the travel website showed room amenities that did not exist in either room we saw, nor were they listed on the Best Western Crossroads website (microwave oven). The 3rd floor business class rooms were one step above and I sure wish we could have stayed there, but pets are not permitted on the 3rd floor.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The free continental breakfast was in a room on the 3rd floor, which was large and bright. Breakfast was good and welcome before hitting the road again. The gym was also a decent size. In addition to more than adequate wifi (we had two computers and an iPad), there was also a business computer/printer area across from the front desk. Also, while the in-room fridge didn't have a freezer, there was a deep freezer behind the desk that the desk staff was more than willing to allow me to place my ice packs in for the medication I travel with. That was most appreciated.

Overall, I was very pleased with the price and amenities the Best Western Crossroads provided! Next time, I'll make sure to call the hotel directly to make my reservation, though - this way I'll ensure to receive the right room for my needs.

Room Tip: Book directly with the hotel. 3rd floor rooms are the best if you don't have pets.

Good rooms at a good price. Easy access to Hwy 17 trans Canada. Bathroom spotless with extra large tub which was nice. Towels were not as plush as I would like, but were better than most for this price. Staff were very helpful. Room we had was 2 queens plus refrigerator. No freezer, but we were able to have staff put our small ice pack in their freezer (we travel with medication that has to be refrigerated). We walked down the street to Boston Pizza for a delicious meal. Probably a 2 min. drive, but we enjoyed the walk. I checked it is about .8m. one way, but all flat. Nice after a long day's drive. Breakfast was ok, standard hotel free buffet fair. Nice eating area. Would stay again.

Hotel is not convenient to get to when traffic is busy. We had a drive up room which was great because we had a lot of luggage. Very noisy though with traffic and airport near by. Could hear neighbors in bathroom and talking as well as ice machine all night. Rooms are great and hotel staff are really nice. Beds were very comfy.

Nice large room, well kept and very clean. Excellent bed - firm and with a nice plush mattress topper. A bit loud the night we were there - a wedding party was on our floor. Breakfast was fine but nothing special.

All in all, a perfectly acceptable room. I thought it was significantly overpriced for the type and location.

Location is close to the airport and easy to access.

Room Tip: 3 story hotel with the breakfast room on third floor beside elevators.

Nicely renovated room with king size bed however there was a dirty ripped chair that should be tossed out if not at least replaced with something better. Room was clean besides the chair. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean and room was quiet.
They accept VISA debit and lady at front desk was friendly. Room was on the third floor along with the free breakfast which I thought was great. Reasonably priced rooms with a great location also made this nice. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Third floor is quiet and is on the same floor as the breakfast area and workout area.

We are constrantly updating our hotel and have been replacing any damaged chairs as required. ( or that have stains that will not come out) I have just asked housekeeping to give me a list of any older chairs still remaining, so that I can place an order for replacements.

Thank you for your review.

This hotel is super clean and the staff is very helpful, providing me with a recommendation for dinner which I took (Naxos Bar and Grill). The room itself is spacious, the bed comfortable - overall a great place to stay while or business or pleasure.
