“Excellence every time!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2011

Keystone Alley is my all time favourite restaurant in Stratford. The reasonable prices, excellent food and service are surpassed only by the presentation of each entree. It's located within a block of downtown shopping, galleries and theatres. I was delighted to suggest the Keystone to my out-of-town friends.

“On the way down”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2010

Keystone alley was better last year and much better the year before. It seems as though the chef /owner has let success cause a bit of excess hubris. My fish dish of Arctic char was tastey but oh so meager. My wife's lamb chops were scrappy and not from premium lamb. and the portion was on the small side. The service was unsatisfactory-water glasses remained empty, a request for an additional roll was ignored and the wait person was devoid of personality.

“Nice ambiance, very good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2010

Have had nice lunches at Keystone but hadn't been for dinner in a number of years. It was a lovely night so we sat out on the patio. The service was gracious and even though there were only two tables one of which finished soon after we came, the waitress returned often to see how we were doing. My husband ordered the spring roll appetizer which was delicious and a good sized portion. My salad with orange segments and stilton was a good size but very few pieces of orange and stilton and not much dressing. We both ordered the pork tenderloin which was cooked to our specification of medium and was delicious. It was served with potato croquettes and french green beans and a stone ground cream mustard sauce that was very flavorful. I ordered the trio of creme brulets - chocolate, coconut and ginger which was terrific and different than the usual brulet flavors and my husband had a rhubarb tart which was good. A few quibbles, but we would definitely go back and enjoyed the evening and the meal very much.

“Big surprise: terrific food, fair prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2010

I thought this restaurant looked too expensive for our lunch budget, but it turned out to be a wonderful choice. I ate simply with a bowl of their curried squash soup and thai vegetable spring rolls. Yum! Others in our group had all kinds of things form their menu and all were happy. Prompt, friendly and efficient service.
