This is a really nice B&B--a cut above the basic B&B that feels like Aunt Millie's home. It's tastefully decorated and well-run. We looked for accommodations at the last minute and were glad to find this. So many other B&Bs had rooms listed in the $250-$275 range that I was glad to find something clean and nice without having to break the bank totally. Nothing in Stratford is inexpensive, so this was a reasonably priced find.
We stayed in the Cocoa Beach Suite for $169/night. Our friends had the Autumn room for $139 night. The suite was fairly large, with two sitting chairs, an ensuite bathroom, and a little connecting room between the bedroom and the bathroom. There is also a very large, nice deck off this room. The furnishings are quite nice-- top quality comfortable bed, with plush linens, and extra towels. All very nice.
Guests are allowed to use the living room (and many do) to congregate before breakfast at 9am. Other guests were very social while we were there...a very friendly bunch. Breakfast is a very beautiful affair, with a long formal dining table set. A hot breakfast, including a fruit dish, is served, plus juice coffee and tea.
Judy and Sue are very friendly accommodating hosts. They are super clear in their communications and work hard to accommodate the needs of their guests, without being overbearing or intrusive. They were very flexible about arrival times (we tried to arrive at the time stated, but were wrong on that count--and they were easy and gracious about that). They also prepared breakfast early for us as our friends had to return a rental car to Toronto by a specific time, again, without making it seem as if it were a big problem.
The only "downside" that I can see to this hotel is that it is on a very busy street. So, it's not the most pleasant walk to downtown (although this is hardly a big deal). There's a lot of traffic noise from the sidewalk, but the house is completely quiet on the inside.
