“A gem in the theatre district”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We've been staying at The Parlour in the Fall for the last 5 years. Walking distance to all four theatres. Plays in area fabulous. Restaurants with some of the best food including the restaurant at The Parlour. Great service. Front desk very helpful in helping you plan your day out in Stratford and surrounding area. This is one of best of the Best Western chain.

The Parlour Suites more than met my expectations. The staff was friendly. the hotel clean and the room most comfortable. Shopping, restaurants and the Avon Theatre were close by. I had lunch at the hotel and the food was very good.

As a frequent flyer with Best Western I try to stay where they have a hotel. This is a great little hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Got good advice on things to do and how to get there. Room 305 very comfortable, jacuzzi and king bed. Great location and within walking distance of 75 % of what you want to do. My only concern is for a place to put your towels to hang.when your done using them. Would come back in a heartbeat and would recommend.

Room Tip: Restaurant down stairs was good but pricey, $11.00 for a glass of house wine, really. Lots of place...

Stayed one night-Sept.28, for a theatre night with another couple. Wife & I were in room 212, our friends were on the third floor.

This hotel is quite nice. Not what I expected from a Best Western (not that BW's are not good hotels, but I expected a passable, cookie-cutter chain hotel that would just be a bed to crash in for the night). Instead this small inn is in a historic building. The rooms were very well appointed & spotlessly clean. Service was very friendly at the front desk. Quaint pub/ restaurant on-site was very nice as well- did not eat there, but we had an afternoon cocktail & it was lovely.

Room 212 had two queen beds, a lovely bathroom with a beautiful spa tub (not that I used it). The linens/ towels were clean, soft & plush.

My wife spends much time in Stratford on business & usually stays at the Arden hotel (sold out on this particular night). The Arden is also a nice hotel, but the charm, friendliness of the staff & the great loaction (close to everything in the "downtown" core) make this an absolutely wonderful hotel.

We will be staying here again for sure!

Hotel is downtown & within walking distance of shops & theaters. Would have preferred a room facing the street instead of the roof but that is the only complaint I have. All staff were very helpful & friendly. Food in restaurant was good. Would definitely stay again & recommend to others.

We had a great stay at The Parlour. It started when we were upgraded as soon as we checked in. We found we were only a block from the Avon Theatre and a gentle stroll from all the downtown activities. The room was well appointed and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed a late afternoon snack & a light dinner on the patio as we watched the world go by. The food was fair and the service was good. After a comfortable night we had a delicious breakfast,(homemade breads!) in a delightful room. We were never happy with the accomodations in Stratford up until we stayed here. There's no doubt that we would stay here again if we are in Stratford.

Room Tip: Our room had a view over the patio and we were well pleased.

This is a very quaint hotel. The rooms are lovely and very clean. It is the perfect location for walking downtown. We enjoyed a Spanish Coffee in the bar before we went up for the night. The service was very good. We also had a lovely breakfast with extremily good service. The only negative was when we checked in and the lady behind the counter carried on a conversation booking a reservation for over 10 minutes. Other than that, I would highly recommend this hotel.
