This is one of those motels which one is fortunate enough to find now and then. Tucked away on a sideroad (Forest Road) on the east side of Shakespeare's own Canadian centre of performing arts, Stratford. the Motel has a gorgeous forest and small lake setting. it also has--in season--its own swans. Situated in a park-like setting with plenty of easy to walk trails in the woods--the wild flowers were spectacular in Spring--and outdoor seating by the lake, it is a wonderful place for birders and theatre goers. Rooms are comfortable--not luxurious--but spotless and comfortable with reading material & coffee maker. Friendly family owned they offer an abundant continental breakfast--super muffins!.
The only minor downside is that the railwy runs behind the motel and 3 or 4 times daily trains pass with whistles blowing. But, Hey! you can get used to that and besides the trains are VIA rail passenger for the most part.
