We were greeted professionally and warmly both on telephone and in person.
As it is early season, we were shown two rooms and given a choice. Neither was inferior to the other. Each bed sitting room was spacious with ensuite bath, electric fireplace, mini -fridge (stocked with complimentary water & soft drinks), coffeemaker, fixings and snacks, wine glasses , tumblers and mugs: Two comfortable armchairs and state of the art satellite tv, dvd .wi-fi. We did not need the ceiling fans or air conditioning but noted for future.
The four poster bed was comfort plus. Everything was spotless and the decor lovely.
The location is a short walk to the Festival Theatre or down to the river. It's a bit longer walk to main shops. Although it's on the main street, it is set back on a corner and we found it very quiet and convenient.
Breakfast in the dining room was delicious and beautifully presented.
There is also a lounge for guests off the dining room, with a computer you can use and more coffee/teamaking supplies and snacks. Loved it - no complaints.

I have been staying at the Chisholms for over 10 years and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I go to Stratford. The rooms are lovely as is the entire house. It has every "modern" gadget without losing any of its old world charm. Breakfast is fabulous. Best of all, Kent and Dianne Chisholm are wonderful hosts who are willing to accomadate all your needs and then some. They are also willing to share their passion for the town and the theatre festival. Each year I have been staying longer and longer -- started staying two nights and am now up to 10! It's a highlight of my year.
