“Loved the ambience, loved the food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2014

We had been recommended to Coppola's by several new neighbours (we just moved to St. Kitts) so ventured out last night. The owner Louigi, greeted us at the door and showed us our options for seating. What a great atmosphere in every room! The building used to be an old canning factory and the owner has torn down all the fake ceiling and left the fabulous old high, rafters and beams showing. The walls are done in a "old Italy" murals and colours. The food was fabulous - I had the $15 spaghetti and homemade meatballs (which came with a choice of salad and bread). My husband had the veal marsala and said it was delicious. The waiter was old-school professional - VERY dedicated to ensure our happiness. The New York cheesecake was huge and big enough to share. We both ordered a glass of wine and they were both 9 oz pours. All in all, we loved this place and will definitely be regulars. We toured Italy a couple of years ago and this place offered me many memories of the experiences shared there.

“Amazing, Great and Refined Italian Offerings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

We moved to the Niagara Area 2 years ago and kept hearing about Coppola's but for some time just did not pass by it in our travels. Last night we specifically went in search and what a gem it is. With just the one first visit it has become one of our favorite restaurants in the greater Niagara area. On Wednesday evenings from 8 to 11 p.m. they have one of the finest musicians in the Niagara Peninsula playing (at time of writing this review) Mark Lalama. That was just the bonus. It turns out that Wednesday evenings are a tapas night so it gives you an opportunity to have small samples of many of their dishes. The problem after a few is constraining yourself from having too many. I will give just one example: one offering is Mozzarella en Camice which is mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto then grilled and served on a bed of arugula salad. This is so delightful that with my first forkful I think I am addicted. Their address is 203 Carlton Street but approaching it from the east is convoluted and will undoubtedly take you several blocks out of your way with the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) dissecting many St. Catharines' streets. The easiest and shortest approach is turning onto Carlton Street from Lake Street which is an exit off of the QEW and then head south to the first lights which should be Carlton (turning East). When you leave head back to Lake Street. Left will take you downtown and right will take you back to the QEW (a very short distance away). It is not cheap but also won't break the bank and should be well worth the experience. The only danger is becoming a Regular.

“Service is Great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

I was here for lunch with a friend and was welcomed in by the hostess, The waiter who took our order was excellent, explaining in detail the pasta sauces. He allowed that changes could be made if so desired. The food was good but I have had this type of fare in many Italian restaurants. There was nothing to differentiate this restaurant from many others of the same ilk. The price is reasonable as you get a wonderful salad with your order.

“Local restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

I recently attended a group dinner where there was about 100 people in attendance. I was expecting a poor or average type meal. The service was excellent and the food was great. It consisted of a lovely salad a main meal and desert and coffee and tea. The event was served in the banquet hall which has a very nice decor.
I would definitely recommend eating at this restaurant.
