I went to Sault Ste Marie in August to visit family and also go to some of the attraction which I have only seen in magazines, TV or on the radio.

What a great place to Visit. The city (tourist friendly) has done an excellent job at making it very easy to find all attractions... There’s a sign for everything... And the Signs actually get you to the attractions. They are in the process of expanding there boardwalk which runs a very large area of the waterfront already which looks towards the locks. The other benefit is that the boardwalk links, restaurants, attractions, shopping, and hotels all together on one really nice path.

Other attractions which are not near the boardwalk, but all within 15 minutes of the waterfront are the bush plane Museum, Great Northern Fun Park (mini golf, paintball), Algoma Train Tour, Sault Ste Marie Museum, the downtown shopping core.

I will go back to Sault Ste Marie again!

What a beautiful area. i spent quite a bit of time on st. joseph's island and am even considering buying some property there for summer vacations. We were there in september. the autumn color rivals anything in the northeast. the people are exceptionally friendly. can't think of a better place to get away from the south texas heat in the summer.

We stayed at a cottage on a lake about 20 miles from Sault and went snowmobiling. Had the best time. The trails were great. Feel free to contact me for more info we loved this area
