I am not a huge wings fan but my bf is, which is why we headed for this restaurant, while staying in the Soo.
First off, the snowbanks are terrible in the Sault, so we could not figure out where the parking was for this restaurant. We ended up parking sort of in front of the restaurant and apparently, this was the place to park as many other people followed. They really do need to get their parking lot cleared up better!
Having said this though, the rest of the evening was very enjoyable. I loved, loved the decor - rustic, cozy and warm. We were lucky enough to be there around 7:30 on a Sunday night so the place was quiet and it really added to the atmosphere. Not much harsh lighting or anything like that.
Our waitress, who admitted that she hasn't been there all that long was still very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant. She explained (to me mostly) the differences in sauce intensity and you can even ask to taste them before hand if you are worried about them being too strong/ or mild.
Once we ordered, the food came quickly and was hot. As always, I ate about 3 wings and gave the rest to my bf. I thought their wings were good, although in retrospect, i should have gone a bit hotter. My bf got the Megan Fox sauce and thought it was just as described.
We had two pounds of wings, he had two beers and I had two Cokes and one coffee and we shared a large fry - bill came to $46.00 with tax which wasn't all that expensive. I had been worried about the prices because some reviewers felt this place was expensive, but I felt their prices were in line with other places.
Overall, a very nice experience.
