“A very good quality / price. Would return anytime”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2011

Even if there were renovations, the hotel and especially the rooms were very clean. Our room was newly renovated with a beautiful art deco. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. A beautiful room with several tables were available for lunch. A very good value quality / price!

The hotel is in a good location right by the water and main downtown streets. We had one of the newly renovated King rooms on the 2nd floor. It was very clean and cute, decorated in their new 'boutique chic'. They are in the process of renovating other floors and the lobby. The continental breakfast, though, was disappointing. The orange 'juice' was more like very watery orange drink, and we ended up eating a couple of instant oatmeal packets. Other options were toast, bagels, and a few choices of cereal. Since they've increased the standards of their rooms, they need to improve the breakfast to match. But, it was better than no breakfast at all!

Doing the circle around Lk Superior on our motorcycle this hotel had great reviews, all are true, friendly and helpful staff, modern rms and clean. The wifi took a few tries call front desk for another password if you have trouble. The free breakfast is very average. We stayed for 2 days because we had to change a tire in order to continue our trip. Honda cycle were great. The hotel is close to the mall which has an LCBO it was nice to buy a bottle of Jack. The mall also has a cineplex and there is a good restaurant in-between the Inn and the mall called Docks. You can walk to downtown or stroll the boardwalk and watch the big ships. I would stay there again.

I was told when I made the reservation that the hotel was undergoing renovations, however, we would have one of the renovated rooms. Arriving at the hotel we were still a little wary as there were signs of construction in the front. The lobby, however, was beautiful and the staff were super friendly. What a fabulous surprise when we arrived at our King-bed room to find a room fit for a 5 star hotel. The furnishings, bedding, bathroom were all exquisite. The location is very close to the water, close to the old town of the Soo and close to eateries. It was a lovely evening so we walked around the area, found some dinner and happily went back to our lovely room. Very quiet.

Room Tip: I phoned the hotel directly and until all renovations are complete make sure you ask for a renovated...

I was lucky enough to get a renovated room as this hotel is undergoing renovations. The room was absolutely wonderful with a super comfortable king bed and lots of work space. Decent continental breakfast. It's right near the waterfront and downtown. This is definitely one of the best values I have seen in a very long time. I would highly recommend checking out this property if you are staying in the Soo.

Room Tip: ask for a renovated room on the 2nd floor

I've stayed here before, and decided to stay here again just recently on my way through the city - and wasn't disappointed. The room was clean, tidy, spacious and very comfortable. Front desk check-in was quick and easy and it seemed very quiet at the property during the evening. They appeared to be doing some renovations to the hotel hallways - baseboards were removed and it looked like the carpet was going to be replaced as well. Didn't interfere with our stay in any way. We'll be back in August!

Chose this hotel because they accept pets w/no extra charge, which is rare. The hotel and rooms were clean & well kept, beds comfortable, and staff very friendly & helpful. However, I was told while making the phone reservation that there was a free "hot" breakfast. We expected at least fresh waffles, but the only things that were hot at breakfast were the bagels that we toasted & our coffee. They should say continental breakfast, not hot. Also, the exercise room consists of 1 broken elliptical machine that makes loud obnoxious sounds when you try to use it. The spa was closed, but the sauna was nice & roomy. The staff was extra friendly to our dog and us. Very helpful.
