“What a wonderful hotel to stay at!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

Wow! Fully equipped with 2 restaurants 4 different pools/hot-tubs/whirl pools, exercise rooms, conference rooms and much more!

Excellent value rooms were clean and general stay was a pleasure. Food at the Water Tower Inn Pub was excellent! Had the local sausage trio which was tasty and good value!

Pools were awesome! The hot tub was nice and deep and the whirl pool outside was amazing and very relaxing. Also had a Sauna but did not try!

Would definitely stay here again! LOVED IT!

After 8 days in the camper the luxury of this hotel was very welcome! Easy to find and park. Easy check in. Nice king rooms on 5th floor. Great bed. Roomy bathroom.Very nice pool, hot tub, courtyard area. Great bar and nice restaurant attached. And Tim's across the street! Lol

Wow…camping is a great Canadian past-time, but there’s something to be said about hot running water and someone else doing the cooking after 8 days of outdoor living. One things Inn guests always appreciate is the easy access to comfort, food, drink entertainment, and recreation all under one roof. Our expansive parking areas can also accommodate trailers and large vehicles, and we can offer indoor, secure storage for canoes, bicycles and other equipment. And if you’re not a Tim’s fan, we serve Starbucks coffee. Thank you for your kudos.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Algoma's Water Tower Inn & Suites in Sault Ste. Marie. We had originally planned to stay at the Super 8, however, they were sold out. The Water Tower was just up the street so we thought we would give it a try. It looked expensive, but, we were tired and ready for a good rest. Much to our surprise it really was not that much more expensive. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and QUIET. I had the best night sleep I had had for days. The front desk clerk was friendly, curtious and very welcoming. We very much enjoyed our stay at the Water Tower Inn and would not hesitate to stay there the next time we visit Sault Ste. Marie.

Room Tip: The 5th floor tower was very quiet.

It gives us great satisfaction that you enjoyed such a rejuvenating slumber. Months were spent testing out different mattress models before we chose our current brand. Topped with luxurious linens and fluffy duvets, we branded our beds, "Snugglebeds". Hopefully you'll join us for more "sweet dreams" soon!

My husband and I stayed at the Water Tower in for our anniversary a while back. I guess the very best part for us was enjoying the outdoor hot tub in a gentle snowfall while looking up at the night sky. It was magical. As for the stay, everything was great. The room was comfy and clean and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed an excellent meal in Casey's and a great breakfast the next day. The only thing I didn't like was leaving!

We are warmed by your words, and the fact that you chose the Inn for your celebration. Our 4-season, outdoor whirlpool spa is always a hit with our guests (the only such facility in Sault Ste. Marie BTW) . You had the perfect recipe for love…clear skies, warm bubbles and drifting snowflakes. Sounds dreamy.

I’ve been staying at the Water Tower Inn for six to eight weeks a summer for four years now. I do try other hotels but always end up back here… it feels like a family home (without the weird relatives).
I usually get the ‘Top of the Inn’ rooms with a whirlpool tub, mini fridge, coffee, etc. It’s clean and spacious enough for one or a close two (and the tub holds two, too!).
The employees are very nice, will always help you out, and seem to really enjoy their environment.
Downstairs, you’ll find a dry sauna, hot tubs (indoors and out), swimming pool, sun beds, etc.
Off the lobby you’ll find The Pub with live music Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They serve traditional pub grub and great wood fire oven pizzas.
A Casey's restaurant is also off the lobby serving Starbuck’s coffees, excellent steaks, chicken and ribs, and my favorite; spinach salad with a shrimp skewer.
The area finally has a nice sushi restaurant, but I still haven't found any other decent Asian grub. Same for Indian... I do love curry!
If you’re up there (or down) you really should visit Lake Superior Provincial Park and Agawa Canyon.

Room Tip: If you don't need a soaker bath, the other rooms have a sofa and more living space, but tiny sho...

Thank you for such an insightful review of the Inn & its amenities! Your comment of "it feels like a family home (without the weird relatives)" is not only true, but hilarious! We are a family-run business, and our intent is to make every guest feel at home.

I am often in SSM for business travel and I have stayed at all the major hotels in town - I won't stay anywhere but the WaterTower. You feel at home with the environment they have created and I am always treated with true northern hospitality that is second to none.
I recently had the opportunity to travel to SSM for pleasure with a hockey team and I strongly encouraged everyone on our team to stay at the WaterTower. The parents on the team all loved the hotel and I looked like a star recommended it!!! This is the best hotel in the city - price - comfort - location - food - service is all great!

Room Tip: I have also had the opportunity to stay in one of the suites - wow - heated floors - heated head res...

Thank you. You made our day. We are an independent Inn, run by the same family since 1974. We live in the Sault and love the north and its uniqueness. The sheer beauty of it defines how we look at hospitality, the guest experience, even how we do our landscaping and designed our pools and outdoor courtyards. We welcome your comments.

We stayed here for a couple of soccer games. We enjoyed the restaurant Casey's, which had great food and atmosphere. The hotel is centrally located, with the mall and city centre not too far from it. Also, the pool is very nice. The staff are very friendly, and always help you out. The only thing we didn't like was the beds. They were very firm. But our sleep quality was still good.

Thank you for your review. I think your comments echo what we hear from guests a lot; that they appreciate how, after a day of travel, everything they want…food, beverage, recreation and entertainment… are all under one roof. No need to get behind that wheel again until you are rested, fed and relaxed.
