“Loud, food is decent...meh”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

Meh. That's how I describe it. It's probably better for large crowds having a loud evening. It's decent food but nothing glamorous.

Maybe I'd go back. Maybe.

“Great Music & Patio. They Serve Garbage for Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2014

Luckily it was a hot summer night and we sat in their beautifully lit and airy patio and heard some good live music. We ordered their burger dish and calamari. For $13.99CAD, there were only skinny strips of a few calamari and you had to dip into a lot of Aoili sauce to get any taste out of it. And the burger patties had NO flavour to it and did not even seem cooked that well. I've eaten better burgers at McDonalds frankly. The waitstaff are at least friendly and the place does have a busy and lively vibe, which are the only selling points. And here's a note: when you claim to serve Cajun & New Orleans type food, YOU are expected to serve foods that have spice and flavour to it.

“Nothing that special here”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2014

To be fair we just popped in for a drink on the deck on a gorgeous spring day. Food that we saw being served looked OK ... customers seemed to be enjoying.

Drinks were good, not overpriced for Ottawa.

Very very friendly service. Quick. Attentive.

Sun was lovely but they can't take credit fot that can they?

Menu looked interesting ... apps, small plates, share plates. Been to New Orleans a bunch and the selection looked a bit reminiscent to be sure.

Give it a whirl.

Especially if the sun is shining.

“Good place & good music!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2014

we went for a casual dinner after moving our Carleton U son; it was not too busy when we arrived but picked up as the night went on. Service was friendly but average, the food was good and there was a good variety, drinks were okay and the live band were very good! This is a typical roadhouse atmosphere..loud and hopping. We were relaxing and enjoying the music and atmosphere. It is in the heart of Byward Market which is nice to stroll through after eating. We would definitely eat here again as the prices are not the crazy Ottawa overpriced menu that you get in most other establishments. Fun place.

“Average food but great music”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We went to Fat Tuesday's on a Saturday night so it was predictably very busy and loud. The drinks and food were served by a very friendly and capable waitress. The food was average at best and my Bloody Caesar was not good at all.
That said, we had a good time primarily because of the great music. My complaint here though was that there wasn't enough of it. I know that the band had to warm up the crowd but they played only three songs in the first hour. That was disappointing because we loved what they played.
I would go back but only for the music.
