We found this restaurante expensive for what you get. The service was average, the food quality was good and the wine was very expensive. You are paying for the location at Bywood market. We paid $100.00 for two glasses of wine, small soup, and a salad. No coffee or desert.

“Confusing outside, Nice food though.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

Before entering The Fish Market restaurant there are different menus all over the exterior of the property, which we found out that there were 3 different restaurants in the building so we opted for the Fish Market and werent dissapointed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, we both had wine and i had the Halibut with the Chive sauce, delicious, my wife had Shrimp and scallops with herb and garlic sauce which she said was great, we shared the Grand Marnier Creme Brulee as i have to watch my sugar intake. All In all it was a good enjoyable meal and the wine was good also. If we ever go back to Ottawa we would go back.

“Pricey for what you get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

We were in Ottawa on the Memorial Day weekend and found a Groupon for the Fish Market. We've walked by it before but have never gone in so we bought the Groupon to give it a shot. Inside the decor is v. nautical, similar to Red Lobster. We were quickly seated at our reserved table and the kids had crayons and placemats all preset which is a nice touch. Ordering was pretty easy. Surf & turf and Fish stew for the adults and the kids had the salmon. The prices are $$$. The kids did not like their chocolate milk (too weak on the chocolate). The bread (room temp) came out with oil based dip that had a bit of kick to it - pretty yummy. The table area was tiny so with the 4 water glasses, 2 chocolate milks, beer, and ice tea, bread and escargots, the table was full. I don't know how the dinner plates would fit. The mushroom stuffed escargots were yummy (oily and cheesy). The salmon was pretty standard and a good portion. The surf and turf was okay. The Fish stew was okay. Somehow for average to okay, we spent over $140 which is on the high side. I would think you get better value at Red Lobster for pretty much the same quality of food.

“Good server terrible seafood!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

Was on a family trip to Ottawa and tried out this place hoping to have some tasty seafood but the lobster was overcooked and the scallops were undercooked. Sent the scallops back and asked for a nice seer on them. They came back white and undercooked again. Veggies and mashed potatoes were unseasoned and bland. Nice server though. Too bad I forgot her name.
