“It's Red Lobster :-)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

We went when they were having one of their seafood promotions and walked away holding out stomachs cause we were full of awesome seafood. They start you off with these sweet sweet biscuits and then once your taste buds have exploded they bring out your tray of sweet delicious lobster, mussels, shrimp, calamari and pasta smothered
in a garlic butter type sauce. If you're drooling that's because it was that awesome. Our waitress was awesome and had an amazing sense of humor. Definitely will be going back.

“Be happy: Eat biscuits at Red Lobster :)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Gobble up those warm biscuits and try to save room for your main course. Note that smearing butter on the warm biscuits is sinful but we can't always be perfect....
We ordered clam soup and it was delicious. Lobster combo was mouth watering, and my friend's trout made her gasp with joy!

Very friendly staff. Comfortable seating, good food; Whenever I'm in Ottawa, I dream of Red Lobster. Noticed fellow diners carrying out more of those biscuits in doggy bags (lucky them!).

“In it for the biscuits!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

The food is mediocre, not like 10 years ago... I seem to never be impressed by it, but its alright... the only thing that keeps me coming back are those scrumptious cheddar bay biscuits! But since i've been making them at home... i haven't been back.

“Salt, salt and more salt”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

I try to avoid so called "McFood restaurants", those chain restaurants where the menu is exactly the same and the service, while good, is just a little too automatic "and how is everything?" and "are we still enjoying?' etc. Which is why I've rarely eaten at a Red Lobster. A work colleague wanted to take me out as thanks for a favour and so as not to hurt their feelings, I accepted their invite for lunch at Red Lobster. It is what it is just like in their commercials but everything is WAY too salty. Seafood, especially lobster, shrimp and scallops is very high in cholesterol and to top it all off it's deep fried and then covered in salty sauces. I was surprised at the high volume of seniors having lunch as too much of this stuff can't be good for you. On that note, service is very good in a sort of automated way and if you like the commercials, that's what you get. If great seafood is what you are looking for, this isn't it.
